I'll watch it one night on watchmovies...se if I want to buy it on dvd.. bought there will be blood for my birthday!! it's a lot like no country for old men, people who don't do what we do might not get it. but it is really good. The whole story is told not by what is said, but what is not said.

sounds cool, so you've seen no country for old men finally? It's really different, and at first I didn't like it much, but watching it in Gary's class with everyone interpreting all the hidden meanings, it was really whacked out!
As for the Happening, my friend said don't even rent it.

yep i saw it finally... the fact that it had no soundtrack made it very suspenseful.. and I definitely appreciate the film making, but I kind of did not like it either, but then I kind of did... funny huh?

still, that sucks... oh and I watched Happening on watch movies. Not scary at all, no twist, kinda stupid, very unappealing characters. I might have not thought it was as terrible as it was if I didn't know it was directed by him. I was expecting a whole lot more, guess everyone else was too. I almost didn't have the patience to make it through the end, it was terribly painful!

I saw it on my birthday!! the opening sequence was awesome!! it was great! my only compliant is that they were too serious. they could have had so much more fun with it, even though they did have a lot of fun scenes. I guess they needed more balance. BUt I loved it!!

no kidding, you thought it was too serious!!? I would have said it was if it didn't have Jack Black as the main character. That intro was great. Incredibly epic, but then comments like "There is no charge for awesomeness...or atractiveness" came up and it really balanced out well. It was funny enough, I was laughing as loud as all the little kids around me

it was really funny and goofy, it just needed to be more goofy. When you tackle issues like obsetity and not fitting in and self essteem and world destruction and failed parenting you gotta be extremly goofy to counter that.they just needed a bit more is all. I was talking to my boss about it and he agreed but he said that it was better off then most for his children. he said the pressures that the entertainment industryputs on children is staggering and wishes that their could be more clean fun. and kung fu panda did come close to that. it's a very interesting thing to consider though... realism and inner conflict was a good reaction to the fall of the revolution and the musical genre of animation that came with it, but is that the best storytelling mechism for children?
I'm probaly looking at this too deeply. I loved the movie. Will probaly buy it when it comes out.

I don't know, i didn't really think it even targeted many issues that children face, it was just action and clean fun, no one bleed or really even got bruised up if you noticed that except the bad guy at the end. Dustin Hofman was the only one who ever almost died (again except the bad guy) and just when you think he is, he comes back with "I'm not dieing you idiot!" which made every kid in the theater laugh. True it wasn't as carefree and goofy as Shrek, but that's ok cause in a way is seemed more realistic than shrek was, cause they were facing challenges that were actually hard. I saw it with 4 little cousins and 2 of my brothers and they came out of it all happily quoting Jack Black "sskidoosh"
