Just a quick question.Β
I'm new to the hole digital art thing (I mostly do traditional) and I was wonder what are some techniques you have that make your pieces look great? Like how is your shading so clean? What's important with shading faces and other parts of a person? And any other advice you may have is greatly appreciated.Β

The techniques I use are fairly barebones and simple, but they work for me.
I lay my flats down on one layer so that they're easy to select, then I use a purple/pink colour set to around 40% opacity on a multiply layer on top of that
and I use a hard brush to block shade everything. Then using an overlay layer I use a soft brush to add some soft light, but not much.
Use another overlay layer for specular highlights, another multiply to add some saturated red to places where the blood should colour the skin more - ears etc.
Other than that it's just practice, make sure to avoid using a soft brush if you can help it though, it's a crutch that can hold you back (it did for me) and it looks horrible if you use it too much.

IT IS VERY PROBABLY ME, if you look around and there is a little crossover with characters, specifically a particular purple tiefling, then you can more or less confirm it.
