Hey, I got your comment on my Trojan Horse picture today, and I just wanted to thank you right away. It's always a pleasure to have someone show interest in my work, but it's nothing compared to some good criticism. I'm just starting off as an artist, so I'm despeate for advice as well as really unsure in myself so far. Your criticism was kind and thoughtful, and I can't tell you how much of a difference it makes. And, like I said, I'm always on the lookout for artists that are willing to give me some pointers.
About your ideas... I completely agree with you. I didn't scan the picture, but I'm no photographer either. This is my first real project using pictures I personally took. And the colors- I'm completely on the same page. I actually like the color balance a bit better in the original version, but I was asked to put a filter on it at the last minute. Not only did it throw my colors off, but it covered up the finer points of the original photos and the editing.
I'm sorry this ended up so long, but I really must express my gratitude. Your artwork is amazing and your comments are just as they should be... you are the perfect DeviantArtist. Thank you for your generosity and I hope to hear from you again in the future.
