Well, first let's do everything we can to save what belongs to us all. Even though I had to let my "position" go within DLD, I never stopped caring about it, Will didn't either. It's our creation, it's really, truly, part of us, and for her to just, "oh, yeah, I'm mad so Ima go do this" without talking to ANYONE, it feels like she's cutting out part of my soul, and I'm mad, I'm beyond mad. Incidentally, thank you for the service you've rendered to DLD, to our Lit community, I know that most of the time, it goes unappreciated, but it isn't by ME.

I was reading DLD articles years before ever getting involved, so I know the feeling; DLD is much bigger than one person. Though this whole fiasco is regrettable, it's wonderful to see the outpouring of support going on right now I'm sure the other admins are getting their share of warm fuzzies alongside the righteous anger (or maybe it's just me ). I really do appreciate the kind words

I understand - I'd hate to step down from something and the person I trusted it to destroys it. It's infuriating enough to have put so much into it as an admin and boot up the laptop one day and see this.

Wait a minute, DLD is closing?

But, this place is the goal for writers. The pinnacle of perfection. Literature doesn't get near as much credit on deviantART as other arts, and that's just a fact.
Sure everyone reads their fanfiction and comes across the occasional story or poem they read, but it's just not given the love like the other arts.

I was so proud to be featured by this outstanding group over the years not once, but a few times. This place has always been so thorough run by some of the most dedicated staff members I've ever seen.
Does it really have to close?
