I always draw it out by hand with a normal pencil, then i scan it, and i use Photoshop cs5 for coloring in total.

I've tried that, But i like to draw really dark, so I end up not doing CG style works very well. I'm planning to post some CG-style works in the future, just to see what people think.

I tried doing lineart and cell shady stuff a bit back on another art hosting site and it didn't really go over well. I enjoy the painterly style because my hand is horribley unsteady and my lineart is so failure. I'd love to try and practice it again if i had some time. I bet it will go over fairly well since alot of people prefer cgish art over traditional looking.

this is true, But I'm a rough drawer myself, but I give my shadowings a more 3d look to it, rather then just sticking to normal cell-shade techniques. I draw with a pencil, never, ever on the computer, for it just isn't the same to me.

I'd like some to get some feedback for my attempts at CG works i've done when i post them, so i can compare how well it does against cell-shade, one thing is true, CGing pieces give you much more freedom then cellshade, but i like to cell-shade in a freestyle way myself, and that's way makes my style look the way it does.

that's right, I use the " brightness-contrast" setting, to make the pencil lines darker, thus giving the immpression that i inked the piece.

oh I use that to lighten my original sketch. With me i sketch in black like 40million times before i get it right o_o" so i go back and make them all lighter to do a final "Perfect" sketch for myself. So how long have you been into art? Personally i've done it casually for about a year now but didn't really get serious until about last septemeber(ish)

Well, truthfully, i've always had SOME kind of drawing tool in my hand since i before i could walk, but seriously? I'm 16 now, so perhaps for 5 years, give or take.

real way? well, i don't do it, because i don't have a tablet, but there are many, many ways you can outline pieces; programs like Manga studio, Paint tool SAI, and inkscape all do a good job with that, but you pretty much need a tablet if you want a good ink job.

I just prefer the look pencil and pen ink has over computer lines, but that's just me.

well, just do somthing that shows your style, which as far as i've seen, is portraits of faces. Then go nuts with the design, put your name, or a design pattern, and customize it to your likes, perhaps paint yourself, or a persona of yourself, as you did with those other ones. and in short, do what you want, how you'd like yourself, and others to see yourself as, somthing that represents you and what you want to do.

well, that shows that it was a well-made movie.. I do get sad myself for emotional movies that have a genuine feel to them.. you start to feel for the characters, more then you think you would at first.
