No... Midii Une is a blonde around Trowa's age who fell in love with him in Episode Zero. Lady Une is older but might be related to her. Aw... Why hate Relena? She's quite nice! ^_^ And Heero kisses her in the Blind Target manga...

Well there are references to The Wizard of Oz with Dorothy and the Oz organization. I guess it's odd... Yeah I enjoyed Preventer 5 but the cliffhanger was annoying...

Ah yes... No incest for me! I like going with Trowa/Midii. Quatre/Dorothy can be taken in the angsty direction or, my preferred, comedic love/hate. My favorite couples are generally Heero/Relena, Duo/Hilde, Trowa/Midii, Quatre/Dorothy, Wufei/Meiran, Zechs/Noin and Treize/Une. Got to love the canon OZ couples. I especially adored Treize/Une but he just had to kick the bucket. Well Daquiri made an awesome Family Portrait featuring Treize, Une and Mariemaia. Oh the sadness of unfulfilled possibility. I faved it. Just too cute...

If you want to get -really- technical, Quatre/Trowa is a canon couple. The writer of GW (Hajime Yatate) said that they would be together afterwards in the series (which of course, we don't see), but there's nothing official in the books, show, or movie, so you could count it either way. XD

I can't decide how much I like Trowa/Midii, simply because you don't see almost any of her, so she's unknown. But for Episode Zero readers it would fit nicely. ^^

Canon would be official and the writers never really release anything on the characters' sexual preferences. Also, Hajime Yatate is a pseudonym for the team of writers at Sunrise so he could really never make a statement since he isn't one person. Gundam Wing's script was written by Katsuyuki Sumisawa who quit in the middle of production resulting in Episode Zero not getting animated. This is in the footnotes of the Episode Zero manga... He has never stated anything about Quatre/Trowa being legitimate. You said there's nothing official so it's basically fanon which is fan speculation. And yes, I spend way too much time on Wikepedia... @_@

And sure writers do, especially when the plot calls for it (Which, I know, does -not- here XD) but.. yeah. And, it's not so much they said anything in this case, but hinted at it. ^^

I'll see about digging up where I heard about it, but no biggie. XP I'm not about to run around telling everyone how official that is, when it's really sorta not.

Well the info I got was mostly from footnotes of the Viz translated edition of Episode Zero. Katsuyuki did write the script and dropped from production and if you can't trust the canon manga, what can you trust?

As for hinted, it is often said in the fan community that relationships in GW were left open for interpretation. The writers themselves however provide no concrete basis for most of this realtionships to keep things open ended. So yeah, they leaft it up to the fans. Sort of the typical, "We can neither confirm or deny..."

Yeah, I bet if everything was concrete, one side would be left horrible pissed and the last thing they want to do is halve the fanbase.

Ok, the one time Quatre and Cathrine meet, doesn't she hit him and get very pissy about him coming near her "brother?" I doubt those two will ever get together. There backgrounds are too different. At least Dorothy is in the smae social circles as Quatre and they have more chances at interaction. Besides, I do believe that Quatre and Dorothy have chemistry. Not exactly romantic chemistry but they have a certain kind of spark.

Yup! It is! It's 49 episodes with a 3 episode OVA and special edition movie as well as a lot of good manga. I got obsessed with it when I was 13 and I'm still hooked now that I'm 17... Episode 1 is usually what'll get you. The cliffhanger is killer when Relena invites Heero to her birthday party, he rips up the invitation and whispers that he's going to kill her but those two are eventually going to fall for each other and you wonder how considering the way that they met. I love it!
