I WANT IT TO AS WELL. LOOK AT THOSE DELICIOUS RESISTANCES. 

honestly, i'd also want Ice to have more resistances: against water, grass and bug. also, Game Freak, BUFF HAIL. give ice-types in it some advantages that go farther then "hurt durr, now your Blizzard isn't stupidly inaccurate and Ice-types don't lose 1/16th of their health"

Im pretty sure ice's weakness isnt its own fault.
Fire and fighting are the two most popular offensive types and since thats all anyone cares about, that makes them the best?
And sadly, ice sucks against the current metagame.

Although a buff to hail would be nice.

ice has four weaknesses (rock, fire, fighting and steel) to 1 resistance, which is itself. 

not gonna lie, i am not as up-to-date as i should be with the Metagame, considering i'm only playing soul silver. still i'm quite aware that any good team has Fire, Fighting and Rock moves (probably also Steel with all those Fairies mucking about) in surplus. but you can't ignore that the two absolute worst dual-typings are Ice-Rock and Ice-Grass (with fourth worst being Ice-Bug and seventh worst Ice-Dark) or that, as far as i know there are like what, two Ice-type pokemon in OU? (Mamoswine and Cloyster).

ikr? like a attack and special attack bonus for ice-pokémon.

Granted it has allot of weaknesses, most of them have epic special def.
Would be nice to see it be effective against psy (brainfreeze idk?)

Your pretty much bang on with all of that.
As for those two, mamoswine can be a fucking BEAST.
However im not a fan of cloyster, people are good with it though.

oh i'm quite aware of Mamoswine's prowess, i ALMOST got wrecked by Pryce's today
i don't know, never faced one i didn't outlevel by like 10 lvl's  
there's also Lapras (which is also a decent pokemon, i think), Abomasnow who has pretty much only one reason for existence: his ability Snow Warning.
