From what I know so far, Ramadan is basically the ninth month of the Islamic calendar if that is correct. For Muslims, it is a month of fasting, prayer, and spiritual reflection. A commemoration of Muhammad's first revelation, the annual observance of Ramadan is regarded as one of the Five Pillars of Islam.
