Perhaps once you get a stronger computer (or clean yours for faster performance), yah might have to try mastering the key-frames yourself.
A lot of people do their own thing now. Some are mainly either too busy with their end or just lazy at animating others work. Many times...we just have to work on things alone. <:C
Unless you were doing Sprites, I'd work with and for you on those. I'm not used to the 3D Animations. Kinda still wanna make a Minecraft Animation. My character model looking lonely.

Yours are actually pretty darn well-made though! O.O;; But, that also makes sense!
A lot of the animators I see are still doing Mario, Sonic, and Kirby characters making them like Dragon Ball characters and such... XDDD
At some point (maybe XD), I might give Kirby sprites a shot for my own experience instead of JUST Maple characters all the time. I enjoy doing bits of cross overs anyway! X33

I joined in the Kirby community of animators because well, I never joined the Maple one and I was too lazy to custom sprite ANDDD-- I'm scared to talk to people and join a forum. LOL
So yea, Kirby was a lot easier for me to get into because I just hung on the chatroom and got to know people-- they finally egged me on enough to make a sprite sheet SO YEAAA
But it's good to animate all kinds of stuff, nothing wrong with it ; v;

Depends on how I start, when I have music already decided, I often play it and try to imagine what would happen in my head and the animate it.
Sometimes I it's completely free style, you just animate a part and then part of you just "imagines" how it would continue and you work from what you 'feel' haha :'D
Ahh I see, other animations are always super useful and inspiring-- to be honest it all depends on what you watch and your style to develop your animation so I can see you have a lot of Super Mario roots ; u;

Lip syncing, just say the lines yourself and record how long it is! That's what I did for that once scene for that...weird animations of mine. XDD I plan on doing much more lip syncing!
Nnnnnnooo! You know how to animate! Hmm, unless you're going for 3D animations. Eh, ehe...that was a pain for me, so I chose to do Sprite Animations until I'm used to the whole key framing! That was my only problem. Rendered scenes appeared too fast, too slow..you know. I want it to be just right and I really be imagining how the scenes will turn out bu results never copied over. ;3;

Aww, allllrrriiight, we're failed with choppy videos, ooohoohooo especially my very first video. I freaking recorded it from my screen capture for gaming since I was a noob at...the thing. Not knowing how to navigate... Not knowing how to properly export, editing in a cheap video editor.

I think that's a difficult thing-- making what you see in your head happen on the screen. And then sometimes when you go back over them, it feels to slow/fast all over again LOL

I-I try not to! Majority of the time I only come up with better ideas. Ones that I stopped working on are still in progress, just redoing them. "New Saito vs Old Saito" (new design vs old design) was suppose to be my next thing. A battle inspired by Goku vs Goku Black. You're right about that though! Visioning scenes is easy but putting them on the screen is the difficult part! That's why many things I'm redoing, especially my first "Break The Targets" video. I did what I could with that using my old design. Redoing that with the new design of mah character since I have tons of customs for him. : DDD

I actually only made like, 3 custom poses for my maple character-- in the end I didn't really use her anyway since I didn't animate. It's fine though, I'm more into animating where I have people to give me feedback and I'm more involved with the community (kirby animations).

I only have the intro (those 10 seconds) and I haven't really worked on the rest.. ;; This is where I improvise it ALLLL.
I've always wanted to do anime sprite openings because they're so ambiguous, you can throw in random scenes but also YOU USE THE MUSIC YOU LIKE AND SYNC IT. Ahh that's cool! I've never used PS-- I knew flash because I used it like, once in school-- we learnt how to do a motion tween... LOOOL
And then Derek teaches me my 6 hours worth at school in 30minutes

And yea, I think my ideas root mainly just from combo ideas since basic combos are pretty standard-- just other anims let me think and add different movements to it all (meaning stealing sword swings LOOOL) and maybe playing smash? I don't know if that really affected me though x'D

You can go for anything when you lip sync! Like short funny scenes you find hilarious or simple character voice clips! If you gather the Japanese voice clips from Super Smash Bros Wii U, there are a LOT of great voices to use! B-But I'm not forcing you by the way! No, no, no! Me no wanna pressure yah into doing such work! >o<;;
Animating sprites is waaaay easier! All you're doing is just....throwing sprites and effects into Flash (or Animate). X,,,DDD
I wish you good luck on your upcoming animation though! Oddly, I named my first Maple character Derek later changed it since I forgot the dude's name SF is Derek. Got inspired a bit then... X,,DD
Then again I look at Tyler's Maple vids...and gawd...such skills! His animations are simply beautiful!
I have yet to try animating a character with a weapon much. Like the sword is normally separated from the character's hand right? I've only did this once in my crappy "Break The Targets" animation I swear I'll be redoing. X,,DDD
