A rich man went for a walk one day in the woods, and found an a mad beggar, laughing. The rich man asked him why he laughed, he replied "Because I am free and you are a prisoner". The rich man, having arrogance matched only by his wealth said "You who have nothing but the filthy clothes on your back? Who has no two coins to rub together? Who's only purpose is to wander aimlessly and laugh? I have wealth, a big house, many luxuries and everything I need! How are you free while I'm a prisoner?". The beggar then laughed again,as was his nature and explained"You call yourself free? You are a slave to your own possessions! Without them, you are lost and left wanting! I wonder, how many times a day do you indulge in your large rooms, your expensive clothes and your large chariots? How often do you feast on your rich food and fine wine? I wonder...how long has it been since you lived without them? If they were taken away, how long would you last? You have wealth, but wealth is always spent.When the last river has dried up, the last tree been cut down and the last fish has been caught, only then, will you see you cannot eat money. Your wealth is all you know, if you were to lose it, you'd lose your big house, your chariots, your hand-servants, your rich food,your fine wine, your expensive clothes, your soft linens and all you've ever known! Without them you are lost, you cannot survive without them, for when they are gone, how long will you last? You will soon have nothing but the clothes on your back, until you can do no more but wander aimless and laugh, you will laugh because at last, your trust is no longer placed in coin and paper!" And from that day forth, the rich man never slept soundly ever again.

Ah yes, back when we stole the tardis so we could invent time-travel and you tried to wipe yourself with a rabbit, which then tried to sue you. But then it turned out the rabbit was actually a snake bent on ruling the world, so then we escaped and got into an argument about jaffa cakes...and twilight was involved, somehow...

I was listening to Adele today whilst drawing, and a song came up that made my chest tighten like it did in the days before we started dating. It makes my chest tighten because it reminds me of you, and like I said, it reminded me of you when I first fell for you. In fact, it's probably what made me realize the fact that I WAS falling for you. Even then, almost three years ago, this song made me think of how much I loved you without quite knowing it yet.
