I am indeed a cheeky monkey. My cousin set up a guild for cheeky monkeys, of which I'm a member. In World of Warcraft that is. Not that I've played it in a few months . I wouldn't say I'm particularly eloquent with British slang, but I can dredge up a few lines if needed . Cockney rhyming slang's a good one, too... I should find out more phrases in that

Eww cockney accents....heard briefly they are okay but it is definitely not something I can deal with for long periods of time.

Indeed... I often get annoyed when I hear other people speak when out and about in the local area, I find. They just sound so... common. It shouldn't really get to me, but it does on occasion .

Hey, I don't see why it shouldn't get to you. Some things are just plain annoying.

Your avatar is from "Loom", isn't it? I like it really much...

It is indeed. You're the second person to know what it's from on dA... which has surprised me. I thought it was a relatively obscure old game, but it seems not. I loved the game, and thought that shot would make a nice avatar... and lo, there it is, replete with a tiny animation I made of it . Thank you

Thanks a lot for the ! Nice gallery, I have to take a deeper look another day. I love cats and I see cats in it, so I will, that's for sure!

No problem; I really liked the picture . Thank you . I love cats too... I only have one now, since we had to put her daughter down a while ago; the one we have, Tajha, is very skittish, so not that easy to take photos of... . I'll see if I can get some new photos of her soon, though with the builders we had in for the past four weeks (building a loft extension) she's been very hard to find .

Pzychonoir In reply to RobMRowe [2006-07-16 22:09:55 +0000 UTC]

oh yeah they hate strangers! hehehe. Ohh I'm sorry about the daughter , it's very sad, I've lost one very similar to that one you have, a bit less hairy though, I cried a lot for that one, she was my favourite

RobMRowe In reply to Pzychonoir [2006-07-20 01:02:49 +0000 UTC]

It's weird; my cat never used to go outside, since she was too scared to... but recently she's been spending all her time in the garden, even venturing into other people's gardens... which is very unlike her . Thanks... it was very sad when we lost her . She's the third cat we've lost, but then being 24 it's to be expected that I'd have had more than one cat, what with their short life-spans . One of them, Willow, the middle one, we only had for about 3 months, if I recall correctly; she got hit by a car in the road outside and didn't survive . Sorry to hear about your loss .

Pzychonoir In reply to RobMRowe [2006-07-22 17:16:03 +0000 UTC]

Oh my cat doesn't like to go out, it's very scared... only garden and a bit on the front door, but doesn't last more than 5 mins without meowing. So I think will last long!. Yeah I know how does it feel like, I, like you, I've lost several cats also, and one was also hitten by a car, but I was only 8, the latter 2 who died very young I was 19 and 20... so sad! exactly one year difference. But this one it seems will last since is very scared of everything. No problem.. we have to congratulate... we still have some others left!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RobMRowe In reply to Pzychonoir [2006-07-23 23:35:58 +0000 UTC]

My cat was the same; if she went out and we closed the door, she'd meow and come back in as soon as it was opened. Nowadays she'll happily stay out all night .
Yeah... I suppose we have to be thankful for what we have, rather than lamenting our losses... and the cat I do have is a lovely one .

Pzychonoir In reply to RobMRowe [2006-07-26 02:43:22 +0000 UTC]

Though I want another cat ... This one.. ok I must admit she's really cute too, all cats are, but I'm not too close with her... the other one liked me more, and she started to sleep with me and all, as the first one, but this one.. it's more my mum's cat.. is always following her

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RobMRowe In reply to Pzychonoir [2006-07-31 03:32:49 +0000 UTC]

I know how that can be, though it's my Mum and Dad that want to get a new cat because she's only really affectionate with me . I love this one, but I wish she would be better with my folks...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Pzychonoir In reply to RobMRowe [2006-07-31 18:52:18 +0000 UTC]

hahaha so it's the other way round with you.. lol . Ohh does she scratch them or yell at them? how do you call that when cats do that thing, similar to bark, but it can't be, that's for dogs... I guess you know what I mean, or I hope

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RobMRowe In reply to Pzychonoir [2006-08-01 22:36:13 +0000 UTC]

Yep . She doesn't really scratch them, although she used to if my Mum stroked her tummy. She just runs away from them all the time . Cats... meow? I guess that's the only sound I know of that cats make. They just do it really loud and aggressively sometimes, like my cat does at 4am some days .

Pzychonoir In reply to RobMRowe [2006-08-10 13:17:29 +0000 UTC]

Yeah! truth. Well mine only meows that strong when she has her days to find a male... I never remember the word... anyway... she's so scared of the street that she will never have kittens... sniff..

In heat? Poor thing .
My second to last journal entry may be of interest to you, by the way... basically, a dog killed my cat a few weeks ago . The journal entry will tell you more, if you're interested...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Pzychonoir In reply to RobMRowe [2006-10-01 22:07:08 +0000 UTC]

ohhh how sad!! crap! I think I prefer not to read it, otherwise it will upset me.. what have you done with the dog? have you killed him already??

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RobMRowe In reply to Pzychonoir [2006-10-15 23:47:47 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, it was very sad. My sister was most distraught, in particular.
We can't really do anything about the dog. Cats don't really have any rights here, so it's not like the dog had killed something important and that the authorities would take an interest in the case . The people who own the dog have put up a higher fence all round their garden, and he hasn't gotten out since, but it's a bit late for that really .

Pzychonoir In reply to RobMRowe [2006-10-18 17:45:41 +0000 UTC]

sad... sniff! have you thought of bringing home another cat? or you're not ready still? sometimes they say it's better straight away to bring a new one to not feel so sorry, at least that's what they did in my home, when the last cat before this one died.. sniff . At first you can't avoid comparison, but in the end it makes its own place in your heart.

RobMRowe In reply to Pzychonoir [2006-11-06 23:44:21 +0000 UTC]

I'm not sure if we'll ever get another cat... my Dad doesn't really want any more, and with the dog still on the loose we can't really risk it . I'd love to get another, but I doubt it'll happen

Heyyyy...is that userpic from Loom?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RobMRowe In reply to onilukos [2006-07-16 16:30:27 +0000 UTC]

Howdy. It is indeed. Glad someone finally recognised it . I added the animation of the blinking myself in ImageReady, but otherwise it's just a screenshot from the game... I prefered the original 16 colour version to the 256 remake, myself, so that's where I took it from. I just felt I needed to update my avatar since I'd had the old one for a long time... probably need to update my deviantID too, really, but I'm not sure what to use...

I never actually beat Loom...or Monkey Island... I did beat Sam & Max, though. Good times.

Ah... I'm completely the opposite; I completed both Loom and Monkey Island (and Monkey Island 2), but never even played Sam & Max... Maybe I should see if I can get a copy of it somehow... I thoroughly recommend completing Loom; it's actually quite a short game, but very fun in my humble opinion...
