So you use Octane, how easy it is to learn and navigate through it? I don't have the cash to buy it, but still figured I'd ask someone about it's uses anyway. I mean how steep is the learning curve when dealing with lights and setting them up?Β

I found Octane fairly easy to use, as it's whats called an unbiased rendering engine there are very little rendering settings as it replicates how light works in real life.
As with all things it takes some time to get used to working with new programmes and tools etc. but all worth it in the end.Β
You will need a fairly decent graphics card to make the best use out of it as the scene has to load up on the graphics card memory, although it does allow for textures to be used on normal RAM.
Outdoor scenes that mainly have direct lighting such as sunlight, octane blazes through. Scenes with indirect lighting such as a dark room and shadowy areas they can take alot longer to clear up the noise in the image.
If you have a fairly decent enough graphics card, download the demo have a play around with it. Well worth it.

Hi, hows it going, glad you like my gallery. Unfortunately at the moment I don't really have the available time to work on collaborations/commissions. I'm currently struggling to get the time to finish my latest project which still has a fair more amount of work to do on it.
Feel free to send me any ideas though as it's always good to see what people come up with, and if you want to use any of my images for any stories you might have feel free to use them.
