Hello!
I hope that summer and graduation are treating you well ma'am!
I'm pretty busy right now.
I discovered something cool at work, sooo if its not too creepy, i would like to make you a present!

No, that's not too creepy at all.
What did you find?
Have you been busy with work?

Hmm.
My Conifer friends hated their graduation day because it got SOOO hot up here and it was outdoors and over all yucky.
My parents have lost their minds!
And I'm in something of an art block right now.
It's really depressing me.
You know how sometimes it feels like you HAVE to create something but nothing seems right?
That's been my past couple weeks.
I did a tattoo tonight though on my friend Chris and that helped relieve some of the stress of not being able to create right now.
Hmmmm.
I don't know which painting?
I suppose whichever one you would like to have on canvas.
I was thinking I'd probably mount it for you too.

It was really super windy during mine. XD
Art block is evil. I've had that feeling before, though I don't really have that problem right now. I've more been having the problem of wanting to do five things at once. Not all of them are art related, but it's still frustrating.
Try following this tutorial, it might help. [link]
My tablet isn't working right now. ;_;
What did you tattoo?
How are your parents going crazy?
What is the meaning of life?!
I'll have to think about what you should print. Maybe I could even paint something new! Thank you so much for the offer.

Awww.
I'm sorry to hear about your tablet.
Mostly they're just trying to destroy each others lives (they are divorced and have been for a while and are still being babies about it) and being that I'm their only child i keep getting wrapped up in it.
You'd think adults would be more mature.
I think you'd actually like what I tattooed.
It's a celtic knot type deal with these swirls that come off the edges.
After it's healed and I fix it up I'm going to post pictures.
That tutorial is hilarious and made me laugh so hard.
It's so accurate in a sick way.
Oh!
And I looked at that artist you linked me to before and I'm so in awe.
Like I spent an hour at least drooling over her books.
/envy
.... the meaning of life you ask?
Really bad movies with sorry innuendo and pie!
lololol.

I'm installing Windows 7 on the comp I do art with today (hopefully), so maybe everyone will get along better in W7.
I'm sorry to hear about your parents. A while back I concluded that just because people are adults they don't necessarily act like it. The thought immediately depressed me. And it sounds most not-fun to be stuck in the middle of something like that.
I can't wait to see the tattoo! Celtic knows are /hard/. Is it in color or just black and white? (Or is it black and skin-colored?)
I thought you'd like her stuff. I keep finding awesome people who make things, and it makes me want to make stuff too. And then I realize that I have no idea how to get started/get the equipment to do so.
Pie! Pie > cake.

Sorry for the delayed response.
I just got back from california.
Yeah.
Parents are shitty.
The tattoo is pretty cool.
Once its healed and such I shall photograph it.
parts will be solid black and parts will be shaded and colored.
Yeep.
I'm currently looking up new ways to do bookmaking.
It be an interesting adventure.
OH!
If you aren't busy, you should go to the Ren Fair.
[link]
This coming weekend is Celtic Themed.
I thought you'd be interested.
Pie is yum.

What were you doing in California?
You should post in your journal about the new bookmaking methods. I'm interested to see what you'll find/come up with.
Thanks for telling me about the Celtic weekend, but I don't think I'll be able to make it. Too much is going on this weekend!

I had to help me ma move her stuff.
Yep yep.
Ooh!
If youre at all interested in going to the ren fair at some point this summer though, you should go with me!
It could bee funnn.
/coax
I shall I shall.
My grampa had all these old books from like... 1915? about making things and there's a bunch of bookmaking stuff in em.

The old books thing sounds really neat.
The Ren Faire thing sounds fun! And hot. -_- I was at the Irish Festival this weekend and it was very hot the whole time, except when it was raining, which it did. Both days.
I haven't been able to find chipboard for my cover. The people at Michaels suggested that I go to a scrapbooking store that's rather far away. The fact that I'd feel rather awkward in a scrapbooking store reminds me of this post [link] .

Hahaha.
That link thoroughly cracked me up.
My mom got a good laugh out of it too.
Haha.
She says we all ought to make art IDs now.
If I find a non-scrapbooking place here with chipboard i shall inform you.
that way I can save you the dreadful embarrassment that I know oh soo well.
I feel the same way when I go into the office supply aisle of the grocery store to grab pencil lead.
Weird huh?
I am thoroughly distraught.
I got my AP score back and I GOT A 2.
A 2!!!!!!!
I thought I at least deserved a 3.
2 means "partially qualified"!
what the hell does that even mean?!
.... I apologize.
I'm over it.
I just get mad when I think of it.
How's your summer going?
π: 0 β©: 1
TechnologicBookwyrm In reply to HorriblyHolly [2010-07-13 06:57:50 +0000 UTC]
I'm surprised you scored so low. I only got a 3 on my Engligsh Lit test, and I needed a 4 to get out of a class.
And Ursula Vernon's blog is great. She makes great art and she's very witty. Is your mom an artist?
My summer is going fairly well, thank you. I have a car now.

It frustrates me.
I'm very curious about the judging this year.
Especially because I would consider you to be above average intelligence and it seems to me that you'd be capable of totally pulling a 5 or 6 on English Lit.
Hmph.
Andddd.
no she's not.
She used to be though.
Now it's kind of just a side hobby once in a while.
Ooh! is it a nice car?
I got my license finally!

TechnologicBookwyrm In reply to HorriblyHolly [2010-07-27 18:21:05 +0000 UTC]
I bombed on the open prompt question, so I'm not really that surprised that I go t a three. Also, the highest you can get is a 5, so it's not like I did terribly.
It'd my dad's old car. I like it because it's what I'm used to driving, but it gets bad gas mileage.
Congratulations on getting your license!
Also, Guiry's has chipboard, and it comes in big sheets.
Also! Would you mind giving me feedback on something?
π: 0 β©: 1
HorriblyHolly In reply to TechnologicBookwyrm [2010-08-03 01:43:15 +0000 UTC]
Ohh.
That's understandable then.
Gas guzzling sucks.
And it gets superrrr expensive.
OOH! Really?
That excites me and spares me the future embarrassment of going through the scrap booking aisle. Haahaha.
And.
Of course!
I love giving feedback.

TechnologicBookwyrm In reply to HorriblyHolly [2010-08-24 07:16:47 +0000 UTC]
[link] is what I wanted feedback on.
And yeah, it does. Fortunately I have worked out that coasting as much as possible saves gas.
I couldn't even FIND chipboard in the scrap booking aisle. XD

Saturday was graduation for me,i was thrown off my horse also--which pretty much sucked. Sunday my sister came up to the house and spent the night, so that was pretty cool, but Monday morning we woke up to a deer stuck in our horse fence. Had to call the sherrif and all kinds of fun stuff. Eventually we got the deer free. Monday was a bit more relaxing, but i think i should take today off too.
