I've had a little look around; and it seems mostly pencil portraits of people... would my car art not look a little out of place on there? I wouldn't want to feel like I'm 'spamming' the group.

Certainly not. I'm hoping to get as much diversity into the group other than the standard pencil portrait and landscape painting so your artwork would be more than welcome. Besides, I'm currently working on three separate motorbike drawings which I shall submit when complete.

Fair enough then I must admit being slightly intimidated (for want of a more suitable word) by the high standard of work the group seems to have, aswell.
Considering that most of my work is colour pencil drawings, but with ink outlines - would you suggest I submit to the coloured pencil or mixed media category?

Probably mixed media if you're using ink also.Don't feel intimidated, we have many members of varying degrees of ability and yours are certainly of a high standard :@D

Haha well, you'd think Lambos are my favourites... I do like a lot of them, but I wouldn't say they're number one. When I was doing my 'TVR-O-Thon' you'd have probably thought those were my favourites - and in terms of very modern cars, they probably are. However generally for me, the older the better. I'm a big fan of Art Deco design in general so it's no great surprise that a lot of the cars from the 1920s-1940s appeal to me a great deal. I also love the 'jet age' cars from 1950s America.
TR7? Ooooh... I don't know. I have to admit it's really not one of my favourite cars. At all (no offense meant). Though still not my favourite car, I don't mind the relatively rare Grinnal-Ramstein bodied ones, which were made in the late 80s/early 90s.

What's it like to drive?
Reading your comment made me realise - in all these (literally) hundreds of car drawings, I still haven't drawn my car. Or even a car the same as mine. Only in modified cartoon form, not a proper drawing. I really ought to get round to that some day, too...

It's nice to s put just after Warren23 - I find his drawings a bit of an inspiration, something to look up to to try and get better - to me, he seems to have a very similar style of drawing, he's just a bit better - say, maybe what I could do in a year or two from now. It gives me a little push to try and get better all the time

I guess my work is kinda repetitive, as there are so many cars... that's a combination of what I'm good at, and what I like - though I do try to do other things every so often. Right now (as always) I'm just ticking things off of my huge list of 'things to draw' and getting a big block of cars out the way... though there'll always be more !
