Hey I like your pen work. I'm working on doing some more nature scenes, so I'm on the lookout for good work. I also spent a lot of time in New England, so your pictures are very nostalgic for me. What kinds of pens do you use?

Hi thanks for the compliment and interest in my work.

I generally use "Prismacolor" pens because they are available in a good variety of line weights from .005, .01, .03, .05 and .08 also the ink is acid-free, doesn't bleed thru and is fade resistant.

I use those same pens, plus their Copic equivalent. I think maybe the Copics are a bit better (a darker line), but I don't know if the difference is worth the price. I'm still wrestling with dip pens...every day wondering if they're more trouble than they're worth :) (Smile)

i actually JUST recently started doodling like 8 months agooo
i have soooo much to learn :/

doodling is a good start and an excellent way to practice different techniques. most of my original works have doodles all around the margins where I practice something new before I start using the technique on the actual drawing. It has saved me from ruining many drawings.B^)
