I want to but I am so afraid that my stuff on etsy will be much more expencive seeing I am in South Africa and that the shipping is going to be expencive for ppl that buys from overseas.

Do you know what is the shipping rate?

i have the same problem here in australia- anything thicker than 5mm is a parcel it doesn't matter what the weight is. so even if people are buying a tiny animal the post is almost $10.

i haven't had any trouble selling. i've found people like buying stuff they won't see anywhere else and they will pay the postage costs.

does your postal service have a website??? that's how i worked out mine. you can check online if they have it. otherwise you can take some in a few general sizes and ask the postal people what it will cost and also ask about any forms you might have to fill in- explain what you're doing to them and they should be helpful. i LOVE my postal people.

then you can make a certain size a certain price. i have a price for my bears, smaller packages, and small envelopes.

the other thing you could do is make your stuff a little more expensive by say $5 or $10 as a built in postage price and then you don't have to worry about different postage weights for countries. and you just mark as free postage which will attract people too D
