OK! I've now read through all of Kyle up to Chapter 14. Just so you know what I've been up to. (Oh yeh, and my 'staying away from DA' lasted about a day and a half. Heh.)
Now I have to read through it all again and insert my comments! Don't worry, it's all good. It's also deflecting me cunningly away from spending time editing my own prose again, so it'll be fresh when I return to that little job in future

No worries. LOL, the biggest complaint I have about the story so far is in chapter 14 though. I think it amounted to "I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU KILLED THE DRAGON!"

Well. Yeah. It probably says something about me that I cannot even come up with a defense against that. I would ask what specifically I have done to earn the title this time, but I believe that you probably have an itemized list somewhere, so will spare you the irritation of having to type it. In my defense though, I am truly no more of a bastard than anybody else you hang out with on Friday-Saturday nights these days aside from I am more honest and far louder than most. Both things I somewhat take pride in.

Yeah. I have written all kinds of things you will see in the short stories scattered around here, but the the one I have put the most effort into here was written mostly over last summer and mostly for fun. So when casting about for a personality for a main character that would kick ass and chew gum, and care enough to risk it all doing both for the right reasons... I didn't have to look far, it's true.

Yeah, I was writing these most of the summer. I am not sure it is worth trying to get it published in the format it is in, as they are more cut-up and episodic than I think most publishers would want to put to the public, but I figured if I put it out here for the world to malign I might get some feedback, become a better writer.

Dude, check out World War Z (Max Brooks). He wrote the history of the hypothetical Zombie war in almost the exact same way your writing about Kyle...only the way your doing it is actually more coherent. I totally think the format they are in would be well received by the public.

Own it and read it, but I am not sure the two are as close as you think. World War Z is about all different characters reporting on what has happened to them, while the vast bulk of what I am writing now is centered on one guy, and is in present tense. That said, I do see where you are coming from with this. I will have to put more thought into it...
