For the that booty piece, I used the low and high points of the colors. the middle colors I had to create because they tend to be hidden. I usually will just create my colos from the color maker in photoshop.

Well I do go to college for some figure drawing classes, but in comics I've only had help with learning how to draw out comics through critiques and by some of the people that I've worked for. The rest I've had to learn on my own, I'm still learning actually.
