I was just wondering if you or anyone you know would be at all interested in buying some of my artwork? If you'd like to check some out, go to my gallery and browse through my recent works(: Every little bit helps, and at this point my family and I really need it.
Thanks!

To be honest I'm kind of in the same boat right now so I'm not really in the market to buy anything. Just trying to sell I often direct people to my page who are interested in buying my work and I will certainly suggest they look at yours as well.

method2madness In reply to tablelander [2010-04-11 23:52:43 +0000 UTC]

Good stuff! I have a new conundrum. I think I found a maple that has bird's eye figuring. There's no way to be sure unless I cut it down though. Even if it does have the figure I'm not sure whether to turn it into bowls or sell the log to a lumberer. I think I will cut it down since there is no shortage of rock maple around here and I have yet to work with it. But damn, birdseye is very rare and worth a lot. Probably the most expensive and exotic wood in the area aside from the occasional burl.

tablelander In reply to method2madness [2010-04-14 07:50:47 +0000 UTC]

Maple is exotic? I thought American Maple was like ours common as anything I'd sell it & just keep some of the story wood you might get some fiddleback in that too

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

method2madness In reply to tablelander [2010-04-15 03:18:35 +0000 UTC]

Only birdseye maple is exotic. It's not a species but some sort of rare disease/mutation that gives it an amazing look.

method2madness In reply to tablelander [2010-04-15 23:08:45 +0000 UTC]

I finally took a photo of the tree and will be posting it soon. You have a lot of cool stuff there. I especially like the turpentine burl whatever that is lol.
