Last year we had an RP chat, Saydie made everyone treat her free food in a pub And almost had her mechanical pet kidnapped... well, RPs are made to be fun I guess... So, I think it's fun. lol maybe it depends, whether you make your character fun to roleplay or not. and Saydie is made to make me happy. hahaha! (I even think my OC is just a mecha girl, not in steampunk-victorian style..tbh, I don't quite understand what "steampunk" would be. I just imagined "Einbroch" and "Mechanic" in Ragnarok Online, which inspired my OC >_<)

though I think the RP forum is not up yet. and I'm just waiting till more are active in the group. everyone seems to be busy right now.

I think steampunk is a bit overrated--I much prefer cyberpunk

I currently have 3 ongoing forum RPs in and 1 note rp from Emphest. Though my RP partners don't reply that often...So, I use my time in drawing character sheets and commission samples while I wait on replies.

in short, I'm a BUM... so I do RPs... hahaha

oh I've never done forum rps before...how is it done? Mostly I do it in chatrooms or through private messaging programs or notes and such. I'd love to rp with you, but then....looks at Emphest..... ....steampunk really is not my thing....

forum RPs differ per groups.. depends on the rules I guess... on ianti (the theme is very much like Sword Art Online and you have your real-life and in-game OC. my in game OC is a male summoner though my real-life character is a girl) , you have to register on the forum (open twice a year) you're set first as a newbie. then you'll make your app,then register for their "adopt a newbie" to gain a mentor you can ask if you're not sure on what to do.Then you can start rp-ing right away on their "unapproved rp" section because you need at least 10 post (150 words per post) in order for your character to be approved. I saw on some RPs in iAnti, the post are as long as "one chapter of a book". hahaha

On my other forum groups (MDLXIII), there's no word limit, though the group is on a standstill. So, right now, I'm waiting for the Emphest forum to open, since I can't catch people on chat to have chat RP.

The RP in forums are paragraph RP, it's like you're writing a novel. Though in iAnti, there's a comic RP available

^_^ tbh, I wanted to have rp partners who reply fast... since I actually have a short attention span and I easily get bored if there's no fuel for the spark to start a fire. LOL but, well.. everyone doesn't have that much free time.. >_<

and, since I was planning to make a webcomic, I think writing RPs can be a good source of practice.
