I guess it's just the same way other people have a "kink". Something bent out of shape that isn't regular. I mean, I remember liking this stuff when I was 10. Behind the public curtain, I did have a thorough conversation with PreciousAxlShine. They were just misunderstood and I had to explain to them what it meant to have this idea I have. Ok the swearing's getting a bit excessive. I'll tell you. The first mistake all people think is that they're dead. No, they're not dead, they're cartoons. We do this on the internet because the laws of physics does not apply. Killing people is wrong and if someone genuinely went out there in real life and flattened people, that's messed up. I highly appreciate this comment. I realise as well that people may attack fetish's because they may have had a bad experience as well. I know people normally are disgusted in some fetish's, but I never came to terms with people who might actually be scared. In a way, I apologise to you.
Now we've both opened up, we both realise why these things are happening. You're so much better than people who verbally attack me and others. Sure, you did that at first, but we reasoned with each other. People like you make my weird fetish feel bearable. I never wanted acceptance, I wanted understanding.
I respect what you have said. I never took into perspective of what the other people think. The ones attacking me.
I can safely say that when people have fetish's, they find it appealing because
1. Their brain said it is appealing, so it is.
2. It makes us unique and in a way I feel special that I own this, because I don't just have it, I OWN it. I make art for it.
3. Following with 2, we get to join a community. This community is only for people like me. When I first discovered this fetish, I felt like an outcast. I discovered deviantart and I saw there's 100's of people, just like me! It felt great to belong somewhere. We all have one giant thing in common. Call it a fandom if you wish, where we create art for it. We get enjoyment out of others work and we like to help each other out.
I get notes and messages all the time of people telling me how to do this and what I used to make that. It's almost a haven, as EVERYONE gets on. It's weird. Some like male flattenings, some like female, some have other fetish's. But we all understand how each and every one of us feel.Β
Basically, take it like a fandom. Everyone has this one thing in common where we can all relate.

I guess I can kinda relate. I ship Zero and X from the Megaman X series, and before discovering there are groups on dA that are dedicated to that ship, I was kinda alone. A couple of friends even raised their eyebrows questioningly about my ship. So it did feel pretty great to meet other people who ship them as much as I do.
TBH, it kinda makes me wish there was something I could do to get people to understand that fetish art isn't right (IMO). At the very least, I think they should put anything even remotely fetish-related under mature content, or, even better, get the fuck off of dA and take their fetishes to a website or something dedicated to it. The thing with deviantart is that when I came here it was already fetish ridden and it has such a great interface and design, that I technically am adding to the problem. They say ignore the problem.
