The stash is something like google drive/dropbox. Just a place to collect your works but noone else sees them unless you share the link. You can upload anything from your stash to your deviantart gallery, which will be accessible to everyone

Well, I'd have to say yes. I think the narrative is very much inspired by western cyberpunk media so that makes it a bit more accessible, and the story is mature and not littered with cutesy anime archetypes or awkward cliches like much of anime is these days. (Most of the reason I don't watch much myself anymore.)

But yes, Stand Alone Complex is pretty watchable for anybody who isn't into anime. I think your only problem would be that GITS is very... "talky". There isn't a TON of action going on at any given moment, but there's a lot of fine detail in the animation and the narrative is really gripping so if you don't mind sitting through a lot of dialogue, you shouldn't have a problem with it! The english-voiced dub is also VERY good (almost surpasses the original voices), which is a rarity.


(I'd also recommend One Punch Man as a comedy and Gurren Lagann if you're into Micheal Bay-esque over the top action.)

Just recently I've gotten into the Walking Dead comics, I'm somewhere in the middle there And some great Anime to explore sounds fun as well. So thanks, I've added them to my to-watch list!
