Does anyone know if dA supports / is planning to support @font-face tags in the Journal?
It throws an error when I try to use it, so I guess it's unsupported...

I've used in widgets. I haven't tried elsewhere. Does not work in comments, or in forums, I think. I do not believe it works in journals. 👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Nope, but you can use any font on Google Web Fonts (which is a lot, actually) so long as you put the font-family in single quotaions.
But =GillianIvy has said not all fonts there show up properly... all the fonts I've used have.

Is it possible to have a Journal skin without being a Premium member?
Because I have seen this case several times...

if you had a journal with custom skin and you premium is finished then this entry will remain the custom skin. However according to me you can't apply the custom skin to new journal entries without a premium

Also, there was just recently a promotion by DA where non premiums got to use skins for free for the whole month of October. It ended though. It was hosted by Ubisoft. DA will periodically run these promotions.

about what you have seen is an old journal has been installed during their Premium membership. and it's expired now. and they cannot do any changes in that journals.

Yes, there is one folder for Members rank. The rest are for CSS Makers and Pro. If you would like to request to be promoted in the group then note us. We will be inspecting your gallery for examples and quality. It would be subject to a vote. The main differences in rank is you get specific folders for each category, less votes to be accepted and you get to vote.

Yes, just stick with it. You definitely have some good solid design elements. I strive to make each new CSS better than my last. I get a lot of good feedback, which encourages me to make more and better each time. I hope your watchers have enjoyed your skins. Try making some as gifts for DA friends as well. People really love that ;D And it's good practice for you.

In the "Edit Skin" add a background color and font colors. You can edit different parts specifically. You may want to check a tutorial for details on that, but basically, the code is this:

background:#000000;
}
I made the above with white font and black background. Add any hex numbers, some web colors may work as well.
