First you'll need premium membership. Then you edit the custom CSS on each gallery under options and add in the code manually.

Are there any guidelines for being promoted to CSS Makers?

The other CSS Makers review your contributions, usually we try to look for a minimum of 3 journal skins. We look at whether or not they were a template CSS generator, because we do not want to accept that. Would you like an invitation? I am looking at your work right now and it would appear you have a good selection of skins in your gallery.
The difference between Member and CSS Maker: You will have more folders open to you, be certain to submit items to the correct category or they will be voted out for miscat. Also, no voting on your own items unless someone changed their mind who already voted or if it were something that was voted in before and was updated version. The Member's folder will no longer be available. The number of votes for Makers is only 2, whereas Members require four votes. As a Maker, you would be able to vote on submissions. We ask it not be based on taste, but on the validity of the CSS. The galleries are open for all levels of CSS. You would also have access in the back room, though really, it's fairly quiet there. You would also get to vote on Makers, Members are auto approved. Again, they need to have examples in their gallery and it must be DeviantART related CSS, not websites.
CSS we accept: Journal skins, gallery, custom boxes, user interfaces, anything DeviantART related, and designs. See the gallery for all the categories.

Yes, we need rules! ;D Also, an explanation of classes, like Makers Pro. It was a new addition, but I don't know what administrative differences there are or if it were just as experience level.

Excellent, one shall be incoming. Guess I won't need to give you an explanation of anything as introduction/welcome ;D lols! I do try to submit only my best and favorite works. If you get accepted, then you can withdraw your item from Member's folder if you would rather it be in Installable instead.

BaB-Jane In reply to pennycoin [2011-08-11 12:40:02 +0000 UTC]
Ou mean like... that for example?
You just stuck your texte between a tag.
Your code should look like that
But instead of "tag" your write "small"

Well there's this tutorial: [link]
Super simple to start with CSS (links to other parts can be found in the comments)
But I see that you're not a premium member so you're not gonna be able to use any CSS.

There are several tutorials in the gallery. Also check #eCSSited , which has a lot of journal resources. Making a simple one can be pretty easy, but you can also get pretty complex as well. Do you alredy have knowledge of CSS and HTML?

;D that's okay. Have a look through some tutorials and such. You may want to keep an eye on the group #eCSSercise where we're teaching others to learn CSS. Right now admission is closed as all teacher slots are currently taken. But in the meantime you can follow the group and join as a Member to participate in public activities and keep posted when we will be accepting students again.

Is there a way to just have a simple button on my page so that when people press it the 'give points' box comes up?
Of course I will write 'donate points' on the button, its not going to be some kind of trick, I just don't want a donation widget on my page.
Thanks!

BaB-Jane In reply to blodbear [2011-07-16 09:57:16 +0000 UTC]
well, this is a very vague question. ^^
I don't know what id your level in CSS/HTML, but when a person asks for help on how to make CSS, I always suggest this tutorial: [link]
It's a easy to use tuto with all the basics to make your first simple CSS. It's really helpfull and not complicated if you're a beginner.
One last thing: keep in mind that CSS is not as fast process: if you want to create your own, this isn't gonna happen in 10 minutes. You need patience and will.
