I do, and I know a few ppl. who will collect roadkill and try to save it, to use it's parts. I appreciate that, so it doesn't go to waste. I love animals too.

hey i got a question... what or where do you get the foam head for like a fox/yote? do you buy it on Van Dykes site or do you make them?

I buy them from Van Dykes - too much trouble to make them, like I make the ermine head forms. BUT I do heavily alter the forms I buy to suit what ever pelt I am mounting on it. (Do you have a MySpace page?!)
*HOWEVER, if I was a true taxidermist, and had the whole body from what ever pelt it was that I was mounting, I would in fact make my own forms using the actual body from the animal to make a mould/mold from for it's pelt/hide- that way the form would be perfect for each mount. I know someone who does this! Take a look, and she is AWESOME!!

ok but on Van Dykes i dont know there the head forms are... and yeah i am going to buy mine but make sure it fits the head too. (no i think myspace is a waste of time...)

Close to the top of the page you can type in, in the FIRST search box, what you are looking for, but be general. If you have a coyote pup for example, just type in "coyote." and btw, they don't have any coyote pup forms.- BUT when you get better at it, you can alter the smaller coyote head forms to look like pups. Anyhow, they will give you a few pages of animal forms for full body and shoulder mounts,(click on what you like, then scroll down to see the sizes and how else they come, and what with.) Some of the listings come with rods, and they CHARGE you for the rods. So, you may see the same form 3 x's at diff. prices, and 3 sizes, with rods, with out, with jawsets, and without. That's why I suggest;... if I were you, I'd wait and get the mag. in the mail before doing anything!! - be patient, the pix are far better, they have WAY more forms in the free mag. and you can tryly decide what you want to get, and they show you how to measure ur form so it isn't too big. And I assume you only want the head, but the web site doesn't show all the 'heads' whick are only like 10-15$ - the web page starts at like 22$, and that's just throwing your money away. And with the mag. u get to get aquainted with what you want more easily, and an idea of how much your going to spend. You can look at three diff forms, on 3 diff. pages, the web page makes that almost impossible to do - and it locks up(at least on me it does while ur in the middle of shopping) after u get ur mag., THEN you can order on line, or I'd just call 'em with the info you have in the mag. The web site's prices are higher sometimes for the same things in the mag. BUT WATCH OUT, the on line forms do cost more, so it's of my opinion and suggestion u get ur mag, look it over for a few days, then call them, if they quote you the wrong price while ur on the phone, tell them you are looking at the mag price and what it is - and they should adjust it, and if they say, "with rods" and you don't want the rods, TELL THEM, or u'll be paying more. It only takes about a week to get the mag. it in the mail. Good luc. I mate it sound difficult, but it really isn't, I just want you to avoid some of the stupid mistakes I've made. And in short, Van Dykes ships FAST - but you won't know the price on the shipping 'till after it's shipped. So, if you need a bunch of stuff, for future projects even, order it all at once, or u'll find that most of ur $ being spent is on shipping. (the suggested eye size for the forms is there in mm's.)

You poor thing. I hear yah. If you don't mind my asking, how did you wind up with this issue. I assume you have to take meds to get rid of the infection? Must not be easy on your stomach either.

really i had a bladder infections and i didnt know.... so for a while i had it and then it got up to my right kidney and then about last night it got up to my left kidney now... and yes i have the right meds now.
once the infection gets to both kidney's it can cause them to fail so always becareful and get bladder infections fixed fast or your in lots of pain and even serious, life threating surgery. my left kidney has had problems opening and shutting since i was three years old and ive had times were i would stay to get surgery, more blood and even be sent off to a far town to get more test done and surgery (they send me my air) i delt with this still i was 10 and thought that last surgery would keep me clear of infections getting into my kidney. my kidney's are open to failing any time soon and its just because i was born early and i was only 2 pounds.
really im lucky to even be alive.

yeah every lucky i was born three months early. im not brave im some shy kid who every one and a while gets pushed around and fights back. im starting to run a fever and mums not back with more meds.... and i got school... scary XD
you know the only thing i ever feel sad or sorry about myself is when i lost my kitten that i raised from my own cat. he was born in my room, raised him, kept him till i went to montana for four days... back came and he was there that night but the next day he was gone. i felt like it was my fault cause i was his owner i and ive left my cat behind before and she knows but not my kitten. my kitten was named flapjack... i think i like taxidermy cause there soul never dies... and they never leave.

That's EXACTLY why I like it so much too. OMGosh, I had a cat named Flpjack! He was black on top, and white underneath, with long fur!! I got him as a kitten, but I didn't raise him. I only had him for about 6 months, then some JERK hit him with their car.

That is better news. MY DARNED NEIGHBOR has STOLEN my sons cat that we adopted and got fixed up from a sheler, and then a few years later, took the best cat I have ever had as far as holding goes and he was so Reeeelaxeed! His name was Zenny. When I asked the neighbors about it, with my (then 5yo son) at my side, THE MOTHER flat out denied even seeing the cat! Her name was Goldie, and she had a collar WITH tags! THAT NIGHT, I heard her daughter calling out to Goldie, calling her bak inside.I was furious, the next day I went back, and told her a sob story about missing the cat, and she closed the door in my FACE! If I had known all I needed was the cops, cuz I had LOTS of pix and the paperwork, would have done it, but that was like 6 years ago! Zenny was like 2 years ago. Someone told me their dad SHOT a cat fitting the description. BUT FOR GODS SAKES, my cats have collars and tags. What the heck is the matter with ppl.!
I know ur kitten and my cat Goldie are probably loved, but ppl. need to stop picking up animals that are friendl - friendly usually means the animals HAVE HOMES! :anger:

i hate it!! he was my cat... he was the world to me... when i was 9... my dog killed another dog and had to be put down and i needed another pet to help me. and that one kitten was it. i raised him... he was all mine... and someone must of took him. why my cat?! i looked for him... i prayed for him to come come and ive cried and pleaded hoping he would return but he never did.
i cant get over pets or peoples deaths.... and ive had 5 this one year. i hate it. i hate it.

It can only make you stronger, if you don't let it take you down. Have you asked your parents for a pet rat or anything? Rats bond to their owners and bring so much joy, and you can take him just about anywhere. You only need a glass tank which is like 10$ at Wal*Mart, and a baby/small rat is like $6 @ pet stores. I suget 1 male.
