Right now I'm saving up my points to give out as a prize...
How much?

OH, OK!
In that case, I'm afraid I can't pay for one. I don't have Paypal. :/
Thanks anyway! ^^

No problem
Ask `ginkgografix , she also does CSS commissions, and I pretty sure she accepts dA points.

Hey I have a quick question about gallery contributions in general. I'm making a bunch of journal skins that are basically the same but the colour of the background and the text changes. Is it okay for me to submit all the different skins or would you prefer for me to only have the first one (the base, if you will) in the group? (The first one was this [link] )

I guess only one is allowed .. better to pick the most popular colred theme among the whole patch

Thanks for asking! This is actually one of the things we were discussing in the back room. It seems the consensus is one or two of your favorite picks with links/thumbs to alternate versions using the same template. So we would prefer just one or two, just not a whole bunch of the same. How many are you making? I actually tried a pretty simple way of making alternates all one CSS. I can explain to you what I did, you can check it out here ---> [link]
I pretty much did the background section div and made 4 different versions of it, only disabling the ones not in use by adding their title to it to make it easy to differentiate one from the other.
i.e.
.gr-bodyBLACK{
background:#000000;
}
.gr-bodyWHITE{
background:#ffffff;
}
So whichever bg color you want to use, you delete the color name from the .gr-body div, and of course, only one can be active at a time. So you have to state clearly to your users what they need to change to switch.

I don't know how many I'll make but I'm guessing about 6-7... But I think first one in the group is probably enough!
Thanks for the tip though (:

You're welcome. I think I'll have to eventually make a tutorial for that, another thing to add to my to do list....

I really think this would be the best way, by submitting one and refrencing the others in your description.

I just have a quick question: Is anyone taking journal css commissions? There is something I would like made into an installable skin: [link]
As you can see, the original artist would like someone to make it into a css skin as well. I, for one, am willing to pay (points or paypal) to see it happen, as I think this is a potentially beautiful skin, and apparently many others think so, too.

BaB-Jane In reply to Yunimori [2011-04-09 17:28:08 +0000 UTC]
I think it's quite doable indeed. I do commissions myself, you can check the link in my journal to see the prices and various free CSS or commissions I've made in my gallery.

Quick question! How do I add a journal skin to a group? Can I do that? When I try to do it from the group page, even though it opens a new window when I'm doing the blog, it still saves it to my personal page instead. :C
I've tried copying the CSS, but it doesn't take it :<
Can you help me?!

Does anyone know how to format/link blog thumbs in your journals? I stumbled across an icon for it when I had a blog I posted in my queue for a group. And I wasn't DeviantART markup savvy enough to figure it out.

You mean like this: :D ?
Just write it down and put a HTML code in it, like so:
:<b>b>D
The HTML code will disappear when you submit or preview your message

Not only can we center text in the artist's comments anymore, but we can't do it on our own deviations either? What was wrong with centered text? owo;

well it looks that way because we haven't been able to keep our subscription. If you'd like to see it back up how about donating some points

Glad to see I'm not the only one wondering why we can no longer center text in artist's comments. I really liked being able to do that. I just can't make the artist's comments I used to use that for look as good anymore. =/
