If so then good, it's just too bad that you don't understand them. It is fairly evident that you have difficulties with reading comprehension. You misunderstand at least half of what I say, and you have a severely limited vocabulary.

Perhaps I should have said reading talkorigins.

I listed very few specific titles of anything (because I seldom remember the titles), but I did mention that I read many peer reviewed articles, and I have read various publications on topics pertaining to biogeography, oceanography, the solar system, etc., and of course I still have some of my old textbooks. Also, when I debate with other grownups they usually link me to actual scientific studies which I always read.

No it's not, I linked you to the definition of the scientific method and the definition of naturalism in another comment, and I explained as concisely as I could. If you lack the ability to understand then that is a personal flaw.

It's too bad YOU don't understand them... Or were they written by creationists? In which case... They can't be called science books.

I don't even go onto talkorigins, but I can't prove to you that I don't, so believe in whatever BS you want. This is a moot point.

And "I don't believe you."

jmsnooks In reply to AlienTiger [2010-11-27 08:35:13 +0000 UTC]

I have read creationist stuff as well of course, but none of the stuff I mentioned to you fell into that category. But there are a great deal of Christian scientists who disbelieve in evolution. Belief in evolution is not a criterion for being a scientist.

The loss is yours.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AlienTiger In reply to jmsnooks [2010-11-27 08:42:57 +0000 UTC]

No, it's not a "criteria". But a good number of biologists you know... the people who actually study this stuff. NOT physicists, NOT chemists, NOT engineers, but BIOLOGISTS accept it as fact.

In fact. More biologists accept evolution than there are historians who accept the holocaust.

"The loss is yours."
Likewise cunt.

Oh wait. I'm being terribly immature!

Fair enough. None of which has any bearing on whether or not it's a fact.

o sheesh. good luck there. for being young you sure do know quite a bit. and i really don't know wtf page numbers have to do with quoting things. sure that's the "official way" to do it but that doesn't mean you're automatically right because you post page numbers. the person quoting can still be twisting the quote. English 101 duh. and personally i do NOT think you are in a "womanly rage" lol. i mean some women do that but it's usually the unintelligent ones. sort of how unintelligent men beat their wives and go into rages too. you ma'am are of higher intellectual caliber than that.

but i digress. good show. and i hope you win.

C: Why thank you. And to be honest, he's a moron... he thinks he's smarter cause he's older. He thinks evolution is a religion. He thinks anything that says evolution is a part of science is propaganda or lie made by atheists. And he thinks if you accept evolution, you're automatically a racist....
Need I say more?

Lol, no you don't. But man the guy just wont leave you alone, will he? Damn i'd block the sob. But then he would call you a coward for doing so. The way i look at it is if you block him, ur just preventing a pissing contest before it gets too carried away. i had to do that on occasion here too.

AtheosEmanon In reply to AlienTiger [2010-10-06 04:01:03 +0000 UTC]

Lmao, thanks! It came out okay, I may do another one with a four panel debate with Atheist, Christian, Muslim and Jew and then rather than ganging up on the atheist they will start arguing amongst themselves about who the true messenger is haha

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AlienTiger In reply to AtheosEmanon [2010-10-06 04:05:11 +0000 UTC]

Lol. Or, as I've told an atheist friend of mine, piss off the religious at each other and let them wage holy wars while we sit back, watch, and wait. mostly joking.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AtheosEmanon In reply to AlienTiger [2010-10-06 04:08:11 +0000 UTC]

Lmao, that is pretty much what we are doing now

Did you see the new pew survey? Atheist and agnostics know more about religion than theist do hahah I laughed when I saw that

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AlienTiger In reply to AtheosEmanon [2010-10-06 04:09:54 +0000 UTC]

Pft. I had known that, I was just pleasantly surprised to see that actual data backed it up.
And it should be noted, I have the heart of a deist, but the mind of an atheist... So... idk what to call myself. xD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AtheosEmanon In reply to AlienTiger [2010-10-06 04:12:49 +0000 UTC]

datheist LMAO

I laugh cause pew in general is a somewhat religious yet nonpartisan survey think tank. So the theist cannot go that it is some big atheist conspiracy that muddied the survey or whatever lie that they usually tell when it show that atheist in general have higher IQ's.

Along with the study that showed liberals have higher IQ's than Conservatives...so I guess if you are a liberal atheist are in a great position

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AlienTiger In reply to AtheosEmanon [2010-10-06 04:16:08 +0000 UTC]

Lol.
But don't you know?! Everything that puts a dim light on Christianity HAS to be an atheist conspiracy!

And as far as the IQ thing, I saw that, and... well... I pretty much expected it. xD Not to say ALL religious conservatives are dumb, but still.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AtheosEmanon In reply to AlienTiger [2010-10-06 04:22:54 +0000 UTC]

Of course, I mean they [the right wing] even tried to blame the issues in the country with people losing faith in god...SURE only one open atheist member in the entire senate, only one or two atheist congressmen... and we are to blame for every single issue that has went wrong with the family.

Yea I know several intelligent conservatives who believe in god. My ex believed in god...but was a liberal but I have many friends who are conservative and very religious; who are also very intelligent

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AlienTiger In reply to AtheosEmanon [2010-10-06 04:23:47 +0000 UTC]

Indeed. Ironically, I live in Texas and most of my friends are very Liberal. xD

AtheosEmanon In reply to AlienTiger [2010-10-06 04:31:43 +0000 UTC]

Oh noes, TEXAS!!! I feel bad for you, George Bush claimed Texas...even though he wasn't born there, graduated from a High School in Massachusetts, went to college in Connecticut... went to Business school in Massachusetts ... Poor Texans hahah

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AlienTiger In reply to AtheosEmanon [2010-10-06 04:32:50 +0000 UTC]

Trust me... me and my more enlightened peers don't look too kindly to our state... Our state fair is pretty neat though. xD Even though fried-everything is pretty gross xP

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AtheosEmanon In reply to AlienTiger [2010-10-06 04:38:55 +0000 UTC]

Lmao, and Texas is a very religious place. Continuously votes no ..well the senators keeps voting no on gay rights.

Do you think they forget about the fourteenth amendment? Equal Protection clause? It is illegal..unconstitutional to single out a group of citizens to take away their civil rights and liberties

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AlienTiger In reply to AtheosEmanon [2010-10-06 04:41:36 +0000 UTC]

>_> Your average Texan has the IQ of a pigeon picking through the remains of McDonald's dumpsters our pigeons are FAT xDD... Only... they have guns. And most of them refused to be the least bit "open minded".
But like I said. I have peers here who I wouldn't trade for the world. :3

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AtheosEmanon In reply to AlienTiger [2010-10-06 04:47:32 +0000 UTC]

HEY!!! HOW DARE YOU!! I love McDonalds! this is NYC it is open 24 hrs a day! So if I get hungry there is someplace I can go no matter what time it is

lmao, on fox news and to the tea party.. "open mind" is a liberal concept ..they have actually said that hahah

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AlienTiger In reply to AtheosEmanon [2010-10-06 04:51:25 +0000 UTC]

Lol. I'm a picky omnivore who eats a vegetarian diet cause she can't find decent meat anywhere. Also, organic vegetables = my ideal meal. xDD Down side, I don't exercise lol

And lol Fox "News". I've decided a while ago that I'll simply ignore all of their torrential bullshit.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AtheosEmanon In reply to AlienTiger [2010-10-06 04:58:24 +0000 UTC]

Lmao, well omnivores eat meat as well haha

You can't find decent meat in TX? When I went there you guys have huge burgers, great ribs hahah

.. .lmao, I live in NYC, so I walk a lot..and run 5 miles each morning.

I watch them for entertainment haha

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AlienTiger In reply to AtheosEmanon [2010-10-06 05:02:40 +0000 UTC]

Hehe. A true omnivore is mostly a vegetarian. ;3 take into examples bears who like to graze and eat berries and great apes being mostly herbivorous. And the apes are our closest cousins. c:

And by decent I mean, animals that had a rather good, humane life and met a quick death. No cheap factory farmed burgers for me thanks.

Every time I watch Fox News, I feel brain cells dying.. So I stopped. xP

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AtheosEmanon In reply to AlienTiger [2010-10-06 05:11:03 +0000 UTC]

lmao, so there are fake omnivores? hm, that would mean they have to change every book known to man I am an omnivore, in that I eat both meat and vegetables...so not either herbivore or carnivore..yet both

*looks at her* you must try my burgers! lmao I cook quite often unless it is late at night and I just want to go to McDonald's ...white castles or Popeyes which is great.

Lmao, I have two TVs in this room, one is usually on msnbc and he other fox.

Now I am watching LAw and order on one.. and a meet the browns on the other

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AlienTiger In reply to AtheosEmanon [2010-10-06 05:15:18 +0000 UTC]

Lol. Too much anything can be a bad thing... except veggies and fruits. xD I eat some fish and organic eggs and milk so...

And I've given up on fast food. But I'll be glad to try your burgers as long as the beef is humane certified and organic. :3

I'm the kind of girl who watches the news online (mostly cause I has no tv aka: no satellite or cable). But when I did, it was mostly on the Discovery channel or Animal Planet.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AtheosEmanon In reply to AlienTiger [2010-10-06 05:20:46 +0000 UTC]

Anything can be bad if someone does not work out...even too much veggies, fruits etc... which is why I would imagine I had a friend who use to eat meat and was very skinny ..yet when he became a veggie he got very big from eating so much veggies so I blame the veggies for it!!! but yes I love meat, but also if it is humanly killed.

The beef is humanly slaughtered, I am a great cook probably why my ex always ate here every night haha

I watch those two channels often haha

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AlienTiger In reply to AtheosEmanon [2010-10-06 05:23:33 +0000 UTC]

Lol. If done PROPERLY come kids, eating styles are not a "fad", vegetarianism can be quite healthy. Granted. You need to know your veggies and plan out your meals... something most Americans have no patience for. xD

And I like meat too. I just refuse to contribute to a corrupt corporate system that exploits workers and treat animals like crap. :< No bueno.

No tv = Hulu. lol

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AtheosEmanon In reply to AlienTiger [2010-10-06 05:26:29 +0000 UTC]

SEE yet you said EXCEPT VEGGIES, he only proves you can eat too much veggies

I prefer DVD's ... I like to be online and watching tv, so I do not like HULU cause it offers no separate place for the tv unless you make browser smaller and all that haha so no thanks

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AlienTiger In reply to AtheosEmanon [2010-10-06 05:33:03 +0000 UTC]

And I'm poor. I can't afford dvds. ;~;

AtheosEmanon In reply to AlienTiger [2010-10-06 05:35:10 +0000 UTC]

I have eaten them, and have cooked plenty of meals with them.

you have no red boxes in TX? you can get DVDs for a buck
