In a cruel twist of irony, I have something scheduled for Thursdays at 8. I might be able to free up Tuesdays, though...

Blanke In reply to Draslushee [2009-08-31 23:50:07 +0000 UTC]

Tuesdays should work. They're open right now, because I get done with karate at 7. But there's a couple of people training for black belt, and I'm usually asked to help somebody with that. So we may have to relocate later.

But yeah, Tuesdays at 8 should work fine.

All right, I'm game for tonight. (lulrhyme)

Some Brawls will help me relax after being on campus from 9 AM to 7 PM.

I've got classes from 9:30 to 8 tomorrow. Only about an hour of downtime excluding the drive home and back for dinner before the 5:30 class. WOOHOO!

Obviously not. I mean, he actually shows interest in women.

I remember DMC3 was the first M-Rated game that I bought. I beat it before the easier "Directors' Cut" edition came out.

My first M-Rated game as The Orange Box, containing Half-Life 2 and Team Fortress 2. I only recently got several of the Devil May Cry games... though I must say I'm very, very impressed. Just knowing how much Hideki Kamiya innovated in the first one is enough to get me excited for Bayonetta.

Altiar isn't a villian in the Final Fantasy series? (I'am not very fond of his serie however, but I cant resist to try XD)

And, it is also the protagonist's name in the Assasin Creed game

Well, it wort the try...

I have to think about the first one, Here I Go! Wikipedia!

Blanke In reply to Fantoche-the-13th [2009-08-24 01:12:39 +0000 UTC]

Nice try, but it's wrong.

1. I enjoy most Final Fantasy games about as much as a good circumsion.

2. There are no Altairs in any FF, to my knowledge.

3. I said it was pertaining to my childhood. Assassin's Creed came out a couple years ago.

4. Never played Assassin's Creed.

Fantoche-the-13th In reply to Blanke [2009-08-24 01:38:42 +0000 UTC]

1) I dont play FF games neither, no because I think their are bad, only coz they take too much ime from me.
In my personal opinion, they are a little "over-rated" (how insulted I will be for say that)

2) Well, I really dont know why I think in FF serie XD But Altair is a town in FF II

3) I name Assassin's Creed only like a fun fact, but as maybe you noted, my english sucks

4) Even I dont play the game myself, for some reason it never call my attention neither.

Only a coulpe of others Altair's I check about: Bomberman 64? Gear Fighter Dendoh? Sakura Wars? Kamen Rider Zeronos?

No? I will wait for see it 8D

Sorry for the ignorance

Blanke In reply to Fantoche-the-13th [2009-08-24 02:46:14 +0000 UTC]

1. Yeah, a lot of them definitely get more hype than they deserve.

The big turn-off for me is how every game since FF7 revolves around some angsty girly boy with "fabulous" hair.

That and RPGs in general become pretty tedious. Sure, you get new spells, new weapons, new characters, and fight new enemies and bigger bosses. But really, you're doing the exact same thing for 40+ hours, just with progressively prettier graphics.

4. Bomberman 64 is the one.
I've never heard of any of those other games...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Fantoche-the-13th In reply to Blanke [2009-08-24 02:52:46 +0000 UTC]

And dont forget the villians. They are angsty as well, but coming from the other side *coffsephirotcoff*

I personally prefer a MMPORPG for that instead.

Bomberman FTW!

You are wrong in only one thing: Tifa is more manly than Cloud, so I guess tha make FF7 Two and a Three Quarter Man XD

Well, Tifa give punches and kicks. I stick to that (I have a personally like for Axes over Swords. ejem)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Blanke In reply to Fantoche-the-13th [2009-08-25 01:17:33 +0000 UTC]

Don't worry about it.

I'm a martial artist myself. I can appreciate a good kick. But it's not weapon choice alone that makes a character manly. Cloud's swords should be manly, but she has to go and be a moody little wuss for most of the game.

👍: 0 ⏩: 0

Blanke In reply to Fantoche-the-13th [2009-08-24 11:22:00 +0000 UTC]

But Two and Three Quarter Men isn't the name of a TV show. So that would ruin the humor of my sig.

And in terms of personality, Tifa isn't that much manlier than Cloud.

St. Andrew, I went to the barbershop today for my haircut, and I swear to God that David Oreck was sitting across from me. Anywho, I was just wondering what your schedule was for this next semester, because I will be commuting, and thought we could perhaps work out a car-pool system. Lemme know.

Ah, my schedule is pretty funky this semester.
-Monday: 9:30 to 2
-Tuesday: 11 to 3
-Wednesday: 9:30 to 2, then another class from 5:30 to 8
Thursday: 11-12:30.
Friday: 11 to 3

But, I'm always up early and can kill time at the library if you have classes starting earlier.

It is said that in ages past, there lived a warrior of infinite power. His fists burned with a phoenix's flame, his feet ignited upon command, his nipples were of brass, and his knee glowed with a holy light.

Champions of all statures, from conductive rodents to famed swordsmen to dark kings all sought to best this mighty hero in combat. But none could match his prowess, and all fell beneath the jet streams of noble steed, Cerulean Raptor.

The champion's days would surely not linger forever, so he sought to make his mark on the universe, that his legacy might never die. And thus he did leap from the Earth into the vast expanse of space, directly to the black center of the universe where there was only darkness. It was here that he shone with a brilliance yet unknown to man or beast, and let out his legendary cry:

FALCAWN PAWWWWNNNNCCCHHHH!!!!

And the nova that burst forth from his divine fist gave light to the far reaches of the universe, giving sight to those who were not blind, and blinding those who could see.

Thus began the ancient tradition. Every week, on the day of our sun's birth, valiant heroes would meet in battlefields, in race tracks, in cages, and in the center of the universe. They would fight until their bones ached and their moves were thoroughly shown, so that perhaps, some day, they could achieve a fraction of that ancient warrior's greatness.

Could you do me a favor, buddy? Go to my dA page and tell me if it's all messed up. I just installed a new scanner so I could submit my comics, but it apparently installed a new addon that's not compatible with Firefox, and now my dA page is messed up something fierce. It's only on MY page, though; yours looks fine to me. So, if you could, please visit my page and tell me if it's a problem on my end or dA's end.

You got the blues? 'Cause I'm cookin' up a fresh box of Kraft Macaroknee and Cheese.

By the way, were there any technical problems at "GUY"'s end? I thought I said yes when he wanted to join, but he never showed up.

Well, tell him I'm sorry if I pressed the wrong button and accidentally blocked him. I swear I pressed A. . .

I fully support Pit-Only matches on Hanenbow, by the way. Those ROFLeaves are the coolest thing since deep fried cheese.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Draslushee In reply to Blanke [2009-08-03 02:08:09 +0000 UTC]

I was the one who blocked Guy, actually. He just sorta showed up while I was waiting for you, and we played a few matches before you got there. He beat me handily every time, and between those matches and the ones I played with him earlier today, it seemed he had a habit of switching the item settings a lot. I figured it might get in the way since I can't actually communicate with him to tell him not to do that.

As for the ROFLeaves, I have to say, I went in expecting to just fight as Pit, and I came out with a fun new way to see-saw.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Blanke In reply to Draslushee [2009-08-04 01:35:11 +0000 UTC]

What? He's an items guy AND he beat you consistently? That's weird. . . Scary, even.

I don't mind items for fun, (See: The Blue Falcon Destruction Derby) but it's annoying when I want to actually see how my game's progressing. (If at all. Sometimes it's hard to tell. ) That and Falcon has an unfair advantage with items, just because he can get them first. And that just makes bad habits.

I have fought Ghost Pikmin. You, sir, are no Ghost Pikmin!

Dras has now entered the tournament finals.

Was there ever any doubt?

So how exactly do you deal with G & W's turtle attack? The reach on that thing is insane and it eats through most attacks.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Draslushee In reply to Blanke [2009-08-02 02:29:00 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, it's a really tricky approach to deal with. Still, it only goes one way, so you have to get either above, below, or behind it. My personal favorite move is to use Ike's forward air attack to spank G&W from in front and just a bit above him. It's also possible to just dodge through it, or jump over it and land on the other side. You probably won't get a counter, but it can throw your opponent off a bit.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Blanke In reply to Draslushee [2009-08-02 02:36:29 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, Ike's front air is pretty good too. Too bad none of Falcon's approaches seem to work on G&W. His aerials are too big. I guess I'd have to stick to my jabs and grabs with him.
