Hey no problem Fred! His alternate mode really catches the eye plus being a jet nerd I just can't help but love the Tomcat.

That was intentional and on purpose Drew. I never was fond of Silverbolt's G1 Concorde alternate mode. It's the fastest plane yes but it is dated now and is being phased out. (Are they still using it in the US or in other countries?) Since the F14 Tomcat is an iconic jet fighter plane and most everybody loves it, particularly Air Force pilots and the military and i do love Top Gun despite it's inaccuracies and flaws so there you go. I wanted to make Silverbolt more of a bad@$$ leader and less of a Transformer who has fear of heights. If you've noticed the lightning badge insignia type motiff/design that i did with the character, i just wanted to highlight on what makes him special and his supposed bad@$$ery.
The F14 is a proven classic and i wanted all of the Aerialbots to be functional in combat and battle situations.

To the question of if the U.S. still uses it: No they don't as it was retired in 2006. Iran still has them in service however.
I did notice the lighting bolts and kudos to you for that part. That's my favorite part of his design honestly. Massive kudos to you on your Transformers.
Also one last question: Are you interested in tags? I tagged you a while ago and was wondering how'd you respond. You don't have to do it, I just thought it would be a fun little thing.

Oh you meant your latest DA journal post? I saw that as i was glancing my DA updates but with my work and how my sked is right now i rarely have enough time as it is to do other stuff much less draw and post new TF art. But yeah am game for that.
