Its not so much pageviews that bothers me as the fact that, well... its hard to get ANY constructive criticism.
ex: write an abstract piece (on purpose), only criticism that its "too abstract." WTF? ...not that I'm bitter or anything.
I've heard the key is to join clubs...the problem is trying to find one that you actually get feedback from!

Sorry I took a whole MONTH to reply. But you've got a point with that. I mean, the point of deviantART should be to get CONSTRUCTIVE criticism that helps you on your way to becoming a better artist, author, writer, animator, etc.
Most of the time, comments are not constructive at all.

Saying you like something to me counts as a constructive comment. While it may not help build upon the artists/authors/etc overall ability, it definitely can help increase the said persons self esteem that their work really is valued, which in itself is a good thing.
