Hey, Bril's Brilliant Factoids kind of inspired me to draw something for my bagbean, the Rainbow Jumping Spider Bagbean.
Specifically, making a short series of comics about the Jumping spider, Peacock Spider, and the Rainbow Jumping Spider. Because of this and that I plan to upload the facts on October, I ask you to not pick my bagbean for your factoids for September.
Also, there is gonna be a Solar Eclipse on August 21st. Maybe do a factoid on eclipses with the cursed moon bagbean?
You don't have to, but the idea seems cool.

Just so you know, I randomly draw bagbeans, I don't purposefully pick certain ones. This may change for holiday months but the general rule is they are always randomized. If I happen bychance to randomly draw yours, I won't use it. All I ask is that you don't use exactly my format when making your comics and that you link them to me when you're done. I'd love to see them!! <3

Okay, I plan to use a different format from your factoids anyways to differentiate myself as well as to make it more fitting for something related to spiders and to fit in more information. I already have several facts on standby right now so that when I have time to draw it, I have my research on hand. I'll be happy to link you to them when I finish. I plan to finish them as early as possible so that I can post it on the first days of October once per day until the 3rd or 5th.

I have my new tablet pen thanks to a nice member of the bagbean group! Even better, I finished my template for my bagbean to discuss facts on. Now, I just have to write the facts and draw both my bagbean and the spiders to see how it comes all together.
Which by the way, while I'll be able to post my facts on October(though, it might be later than I initially planned), I still want to see if I could come up with a better name than "Facts from the Web", mainly because jumping spiders don't weave webs. Any ideas?

Here's part 1 of my series. Facts From The Web #1
I saved it as a JPEG so that it loads faster since it's so large. Also, I plan to upload it on the 5th since I have a preference for specific numbers(I just finished it after midnight). Tell me what you think. Personally, I think it has too much text and not enough drawings, but I don't know how to remedy it.
I might be doing each one as I go and draw/type them and upload them when I finish them throughout October.

I like it! There are a lot of things about spiders that I didn't know, including why they curl inward when they die and that they molt. It's super interesting!
I like the background and the font is big enough and has enough contrast to easily read. The only notes I'd give you for that is that you may want to make all the fonts relatively the same size and make it all either handwritten or typed so it is uniform.
I agree that it can be a bit wordy at points. You can fix this by just shortening up the description on some things. For example, "That's why a spider will sometimes molt. They will grow a new exoskeleton and shed their older, smaller one. Their new one will grow and harden, providing protection." I have this problem with BBF sometimes. Using less words to explain more is a tough skill to master for sure.
Overall though, I loved it! Thanks for sharing it with me. :3 I look forward to the next installment!

Alright, lemme see...
*I would switch spots for the "jumping spiders have 4 larger eyes..." and "they also have excellent vision..." so it reads from left to right.
*Under the Common House Spider section "because their eyesight is poor..." - Their should be they
*Under the Jumping Spider section, remove the extra space between "day" and "They".
*In the same paragraph, I would change the wording to "They track their prey, stalk them, and then pounce!"
*The paragraph "Though, just because they don't weave..." uses improper grammar. I would change it to "However, just because they don't weave webs doesn't mean they don't use their silk at all. They actually use it to build pulp tents for shelter and sleep, as well as a place to store their eggs."
*"Jumping spiders also use" not "uses"; Remove "for"
*"How far they jump depends on the species of jumping spider" - Add "the"; Remove the space between "spider" and "They"; "They can jump anywhere from 5 to 50 times their body length."
*"By shunting their hemolymph (an invertebrate's equivalent to blood) to its legs, the jumping spider is able to quickly lunge toward its target" - Smaller, easier to understand, and explains in more detail what hemolymph is
*"The jumping spider (AKA Salticidae) family is the largest family of spiders..."
*"Curiousity" should be "curiosity"
*Add "which" between "and" and "routes"
*Change "cover" to "covers"
*Align the last two sentences spoken to the left
*I'd end on an exclamation point but that's just personal preference. I like to end it with an excited voice!
*I love the cute little spider drawings and the rainbow web background!
*The jokes interspersed between the information is cute as well

Thank you so much for the tips. While I'm not sure if I can make all these changes, I'll definitely try a few of your suggestions before I upload.
Funny enough, these are the 'basics', since I had to break it down from "talking about Rainbow Jumping Spiders" to "talking about Jumping Spiders" to "introducing the basics of Spiders before going into details on a specific type of Spiders". I'm glad I did that since it means that now I have a foundation of provided info to go further on the subject(also, I taught you things you didn't know before).
The text is nonuniform due to me starting out handwriting every word before deciding to type it on Photoshop(I wish Paint Tool SAI has this option so I don't have to use Photoshop). I may take up your suggestion of the uniform text when editing this comic as well as next comic/issue because for some areas, like when talking about spider anatomy, was easier to write. Had I type it, it would be a smaller text to fit the page(same size as the other smaller text).
I didn't know that using less words to explain more is a skill, but that explains my struggle to shortened as much as I could. Thanks for sharing that.
