I think I started taking art seriously when I was in grade 7 or 8, so 12-13, but I think I first started "scribbling" when I got into elementary school, so 6. My parents say that I've "always" been good at art, but I started with stick men just like everybody else, well, in my case, stick princesses. Haha.
You want to know how to get good? Practice, and a whole lot of patience with yourself.
Oh, and if you erase, cross out, or scribble over the art you don't think is good, stop doing that. Learn from the mistakes you make in that piece and build on it. Stop and see if you can pick out what exactly is wrong with it.
Sorry, this is a lot of writing, but I didn't know how to answer your question with only one sentence or word.

Oh, LOL, it's okay to be new to DA.

1. TWEWY is 'The World Ends With You', and awesome RPG by Square Enix for the Nintendo DS. It was made almost 4 years ago, so it might not have as much recognition as it used to.
2. Well, since you know what a Fantard is, Code Geass is an anime that ended in 2010 (the dub) that is my most favorite and memorable anime ever. I recommend it to you, if you like anime (which I'm sure you do).

Oh, the way I've always done it was go to the 'Add Text' button next to the Upload file button. It should stay as a Literature deviation, but just in case, catergorize it in that category only. It's always work for me that way.

Llama badges are basically a great tool for interaction. You can give them to your friends, you can give them to people you don't know who may become your friends, etc. It's a very fun way of getting all around DA, so I would suggest returning them. If I remember correctly, this April will be the second full year we've had them.

You need a subscription for that. They're called journal skins. They can be anything you want, and they're only usable with subs, so you'll have to wait for that.

Well you have to wait until you get one. But a subscription is basically the premium membership for DA. You can use skins, view up to 120 deviations in a search at one time, have no ads at all, amoung other things. They can be bought for money or lots of points. Very rarely someone might buy one for you, and it's even more rare that that person barely knows you.

To see how many you have, just scroll over shop and it will tell you. To get points, you could either start a donation pool, trade points for llamas, or buy them.

LOL, that's all right. You'll accumulate them. A technique i use to get bunches of points is start a donation pool, then go around to find other pools and give llamas to those that give like 20 points or more. You have a half-and-half chance of that person donating.

OMG, late reply is late.

To put up a webcam, first you have to edit your page and put the widget on there. Otherwise, you can't see it! After that, you can just get a link from anywhere of anything, put it in the link box, and press enter/done (IDK, I haven't changed my webcam in like 3 years). You should be able to see it.
