You don't use devtools !?
These make my life much easier. Like live style editing, the web console (to see what's wrong in my JS), the inspector (can be helpful if you used append and wanna check the code), the network panel (for page speed).

Wanna play SuperTuxKart via hangouts?

Like Mariokart, it doesn't have online multiplayer but I can do it via G+ Remote Desktop. I'll invite you in a sec, I just have to reboot the PC (you know I like Linux distros right? I'm trying out Ubuntu Gnome which doesn't have G Hangouts 1 min)

You're gonna struggle to keep CloudDesk going on Koding if you don't make it open source. Seriously, you're gonna have to get lots of devs or Koding turn off your .kd.io server (and they'll wipe your .koding.com server):
"We will turn off your server automatically when it hasn't been active for 15 minutes." They go on to say it's not for things like blogs etc. (on the Your VM is turned off page). I can help promote it for you and you could make it completely open source (but not the passwords data file!) or you could transfer it to clouddesk.co.nf etc.

Why? Ok, look, I could maybe think about making the code that runs the desktop open source, but probably never the actual CloudDesk. If we have to, we'll switch to another website hoster. And if you say that we need lots of devs, how many?

DevilishDB In reply to DaKoder [2013-07-13 14:24:37 +0000 UTC]
Enough so that there will be at least one doing something every 15 minutes. (So quite a lot...) I could help you switch to .co.nf if you like

When are they going to start this "15 minute" rule?

They have, only for the new domains. See smartsearch.kd.io for an example

CloudDesk OS?
Yep, I reckon I could make an OS for it. I've found out how to edit the contents of a Linux ISO and I could use an existing "HTML5 Desktop" (from JoliOS) for personal use (it's closed source I think), and I could implement some auto-starting firefox system maybe for a commercial version.

I said the same thing to ntim:
just to let you know, new koding has rolled out. You better migrate your old files to the new koding before they wipe it clean. To do this, you must install the "migrator" app for koding. It's very easy to use and really straight forward.
The hard part is, once you backed up your files, you will have to manually move them over since there is no FTP yet.

Check out this Google-powered search:
crunchbang.org/start#search%20something
I was just trying the distro and I discovered IceWeasel (non-branding version of Firefox)'s homepage was the search. Looks way cooler than normal Google! Here's a screenshot of CrunchBang (or #! for short): [link]

Check this for PHP: devilishdb.koding.com/google/search/?q=queryhere
It works in iFrames too!
NB: use %2B for spaces (if you wanna know why %20 doesn't work just ask)

It's not that, just I posted it yesterday and since then I changed it so it's a full proxy. It'll be used for the next Galaxy browser. Goto devilishdb.koding.com/proxy?google.com/search?q=whatever
Also try proxy?whatsmyuseragent.com (it combines the browser's default with Galaxy's).

The source for the Google-only one is on #TheCodeGroup 's latest journal (also I requested to submit it to #CodedCreations ), just ask if you wanna know the any-website proxy source code.

Thanks I suggested Tim should use it for SS but he said he preferred to use APIs. But it will help the gOS browser to load sites otherwise blocked from iframes (also I can add code to sites as if they were on my domain (which they sort of are using a proxy))

Glad you like it! You could maybe have a 'Discover CloudDesk' app like Tim's smartsearch 'Discover SmartSearch' powerpoint. If you wanna get more info on impress.js (Strut is just a wysiwyg editor for it) google impress.js and click the github.io/impress.js result.

IM - devilishdb.koding.com/chat
btw "devilishdb hater" is my friend Max joking about
Warning: the login is unstyled. But it works

That's not me. Paige is a girl name, and she just added extra "e"'s at the end. If I get a Skype, I'll probably use my real name.
