even though I've never consciously done it, studying real life is incredibly helpful

looking at other people's work is also a huge inspiration, making the style your own will come naturally as you fail to perfectly copy other things you see, whether that be existing art styles or things in real life

I am trying to spend more time studying real life, but I like the idea of copying. Maybe I'll do more quick sketches of cartoon characters I like to get a better feel of it. Your stuff is amazing
