I have a question.

In your time-line, does Hitler win power over Germany or does the Weimer Republic?

The Republic were pacifist democrats who did not want to enter into wars with the West. They lost power to the Nazi's in 1932.

I thought it might be cool if Weimer won and Hitler lost, so that the Nazi War Machine would be wiped from history.

Or do the Germans join Oswald Mosley?

My Europe 1933 map has the story about WW1 in it, but what happened was the Central Powers were victorious in WW1. So no Weimar republic.

Hitler became a small time politician that was killed in the 30's by someone in his own party, and later on all German fascist parties were banned due to fears over what had occured in France and the UK.

Check my profile and let me know what you think.

Stuff like that really makes me want to write up some more! The only problem is I'm so busy these days I have very little time to work on anything besides school work.

This is in response to AltHist America Map 1937 3-3.

You listed the Confederate states of America as a Fascist organization. That is the exact opposite of their proposed (and temporarily executed) form of government. It would behoove you to look up what the CSA stood for. Aside from just slavery, that is. Now, I understand that this is an Alternate History piece, so if you already did the research and the change was intentional, please ignore this. It just irks me when people assume that the CSA would have been totalitarians when history itself doesn't support that theory.
Beyond that note, I like what I see. Keep up the good work.

Well, at first I did not have the CSA as a fascist nation. It won its independence in the American Civil War but lost some of its territory (Texas never joined and the incredibly important port of New Orleans was in another nation).

As I talk about in one or two of the maps, they were a very decentralized Democracy for a long period of time. Their focus on 'States Rights' meant that in the many years after independence, their nation began to suffer due to the lack of a strong federal government (much like the early United States did under the Articles of Confederation).

And racism was still very prevailent throughout the CSA, but that doesn't make them 'fascist'. Their policiy towards blacks helped stagnate their economy and fueled a massive exodus of african-americans to the CSA's neighbors, denying the CSA many millions of skilled workers that it needed to fix their economy.

When the 20th century rolled around, many in the CSA (mostly younger urbanites) started pressing for liberalization and a stronger federal government.

The reason the fascists have gained ground in the CSA congress is from a variety of factors. They only became such in the late 1930's too, not just out of the blue.

And in comparison to France or the UK, the fascist party in the CSA are not completely in control of the government. They have a slight majority in congress, but not enough to start changing laws at will. But there is an election coming up that could decide which way the CSA will go: will it remain true to its ideals about states rights, or will it follow its "allies" and seek revenge on the USA and Bourbon by embracing fascism?

Anyway.....TAKS testing is not quite over, so I'll have to remember to bring a book to read ( They don't let you draw, go figure). Also, remember, I'm only 15 (16 in 3 weeks! huzzah ^_^!) so I am still in High School. Yeah, ok, snough for today. My head hurts.
