I'll need to rerecord it because I held the camera too close to the speaker, but it sounds good. Lulzy as shit.

Well, thank you. It's nice to see you having such a great time with Thaddeus while I was busy not being here to answer you. As you've found, he's pretty fascinating as well.

You fascinate me!
Thank you, and congratulations for realizing that this account is really mine. That's right. I created DjangoDurango so that I could investigate a completely different vector of getting my genius out into the world. This way I can communicate without all of that nazi baggage hanging over the conversation.
I know. I know. I could have made "her" more interesting, but I was short on time, and I was drunk when I created the account.

Pft, I don't see what the big deal is, so what, you're a nazi. But, as you've explained to so many idiots, that's just the party that resembles your point of views the closest, you are, actually more extreme than the nazis in the common sense of the word.
And, plus, you sound like a really cool dude

Tubes? Madness!
"300" + The Internet = "Tubes of Sparta", a yet-to-be-made video.
That gives me an idea for a new contraceptive product: Spartan Tubes. It will compete directly with Trojan Condoms. Imagine all of the "hard versus soft" commercials to COME out of that rivalry.
Oh boy, I'm on a (tube-like) roll now ...

Are you sure it was water?!?!?!?
Spartan Tubes: "They're hard when you are."
Spartan Tubes: "Not for Pussies ." (This proves they were Greek.)
Spartan Tubes: "Unlike Trojans, there's no surprise inside."
Spartan Tubes: "The bigger you are, the harder you will fall, so go with the biggest ... and the hardest. Go Spartan."
Spartan Tubes: "We're hard, so you don't have to be."

ED strikes again. It seems that the Internet is not only serious business, but that it is also made out of tubes.

I tried to put LongCat in my scraps, so as to save ED the bandwidth, but DA wonβt accept it. I get a message saying that images larger than 12,000 by 9,000 are not supported. LongCat is 300 by 17,700. Now I see that itβs been loading slowly, as of late, so I put it up at ImageShack. If you want your page to load quicker, and/or to help ED, you should do the same, or simply use the URL I have.

DjangoDurango In reply to baddleebadd [2007-09-09 19:10:15 +0000 UTC]
Oh! deviantART itself isn't technically doing anything to eliminate ED. It's a portion of its userbase that would like to do away with it. I support ED because they inadvertantly advocate parental responsibility for what children see on the internet. That, and they also remind us all that the internet is serious fucking business, which I think a lot of people here would do well to remember.
Also cocks.

I can't tell. Is it Django, Prepare A Coffin or A Man Called Django . Either way, he's handsome.
Oh yeah, that stuff you wrote about copyright is totally, 100%, completely, sort of wrong. I'll answer it later, due to having to get back to watching the above clips, over and over, because he's so handsome.

It's Longcat.
It's always bothered me that the right side of DA userpages were always much longer than the left. Now my left side is longer. Makes me unique and original. Although the goal was to have them at equal length...

You took my idea! Well then, this simply means that I'll have to convince everyone on deviantART to adopt Longcat as their new webcam and then change mine to equal out.
Or I could just write a really tl,dr journal to balance the page.
After all, who else would be retentive enough to forcibly make the page halves equal lengths?

ThaddeusQuay In reply to DjangoDurango [2007-08-27 22:27:25 +0000 UTC]
You took my idea!
Yes, and I do so unapologetically, because I believe that all information should be free. That's a logical extension of believing in absolute freedom of speech. Therefore, I don't care at all for copyrights, patents, or any such artificial control on the flow/use of information.
Additionally, I am Moriarty to your Holmes. Will you be Leni to my Adolf?
Well then, this simply means that I'll have to convince everyone on deviantART to adopt Longcat as their new webcam and then change mine to equal out.
That won't work. See below.
Or I could just write a really tl,dr journal to balance the page.
That won't work past the next comment posted. See below.

I would, except that I've come up with a workable solution. Simply create multiple LongCats, saved in your Scraps, with the only difference between them being variable amounts of visually-meaningless padding, like maybe a black band, at the bottom. So,LongCat50 would have an extra 50 pixels, LongCat100 would have an extra 100 pixels, etcetera . Create as many as you think you would need. When a new comment shows up, guess as to the amount of padding required, and then simply modify the webcam URL to point to the appropriate version of LongCat.
I know. I know. I am awesome. You don't have to say it. It's enough that it occurred to you. By the way, I saw today a listing for a TV show called "Djangomania!", which is a profile of musician Django_Reinhardt .

DjangoDurango In reply to ThaddeusQuay [2007-08-28 06:10:50 +0000 UTC]
Given the ways in which I choose to occupy my time, you'll understand why I do care for copyrights. The point of a copyright, after all, is not to impede the flow of information, but to protect the creative rights of the person who spent the time and effort on the creation. I personally do not care if one references my works in their own. They don't even have to give credit, per se. I just don't care for the idea of someone taking what I wrote and saying that they wrote it. I don't want to find a stroy I wrote with someone else's name on it.
However, since longcat is not of my creation, and ideas are not patentable things, I don't really care if anyone takes the idea to use it as a webcam. Uploading Longcat as a scrap, at least to me, suggests that I am trying to take credit for it, which is why I won't be doing it.
At any rate, it would simply be easier to add enough text to a journal entry than to constantly be switching padded versions of Longcat, particularly when longcat is generally longer than the Deviant comments anyway. The comments at no point will ever be as long as long cat, due to the thing that eventually sections off responses to a separate page.
Django Reinhardt is one of my favorite musicians. I didn't, however, get my name from him.

Much obliged for your time, catz.
That's the true irony of the situation, that those who oppose the oppression of our free speech would make an effort to do so to his. As I found during the Nazi debates from a month or so ago, however, it is rather difficult to show these kids this because they feel that since their actions are seemingly on the side of all that is American, they cannot see that they're actually the exact converse.
In conclusion, ~ThaddeusQuay may be a nazi, but at least he's not a douche bag.
