Hh there! Actually i am the same as i can't work out the pen tool either Lol!
I have been using the polygonal lasso tool to select my paths and create the line art. but someone was kind enough to send me a link to a a good tutorial on the pen tool, i am going to give this a go;

Damn, I can't believe you were able to get your lines that smooth using the lasso tool..you must have one steady hand my friend! Mine always come out jittery looking....I guess I just have to keep practicing..thanks for the link by the way, I definitely have to try it out!

Does anyone have any easy tips on how to use the PEN TOOL in PHOTOSHOP? I have tried following various tutorials and experimenting with it but can't figure out how to use it for LINE ART!!

I sometimes use a grid or dot particlar points on tracing paper to make sure i get everything in the right place! I love your rendering work!! would be keen to hear what programs you use and painting techniques as i have a bit to learn there!
