'Old dragons' just means they are old masters of the art of drawing dragons.

Look from the right to left of the top quarter of your deviantart home page. Just after the more button you'll see one that says 'submit art'. Click it and follow the instructions. If you hit a snag let me know.

ps: if you hide a comment I wont be able to reply it normally.

Yup, no prob. And commissions, how exactly do they work?

Yertoughs In reply to Intechnical [2009-03-08 23:37:55 +0000 UTC]

Get a paypal account, tell your watchers your open for commissions and name your price for each type of art, from the simple to the complex. If any wants a commision they'll tell you want they want, you'll draw half of it and if they like it you complete it and let them know, they'll pay and you'll send the original image to their e-mail.

So if I want someone to draw me something, I have to pay for it? I can't like, trade some of my artwork for theirs?

For a paypal account, do you need a credit card?

Yertoughs In reply to Intechnical [2009-03-08 23:48:15 +0000 UTC]

Of course you can trade artwork, you just have to be good friends with the person you're trading artwork with. Or you could co-create an artwork with someone else. But it isn't easy trading artwork unless your art's just as good as theirs.

No, you don't need a credit card. If you have a paypal account just get a bank account with a bank that supports online banking. Activate your online banking with the bank and search your paypal links for a link that transfers funds from banks you've told paypal you're registered with.

Okay, thanks for that. I have a few friends who live near me on here as well, so we could work together on some art.

And I'll check into the paypal. I don't know if my artwork is good enough to have people commission from me, but I'll try to improve. I do not have the money to order some art right now.
