Aye, Tak and Gaz. I like it because they actually have really compatible personalities. Unlike Zim, who is loud and arrogant and OTT and really in-your-face, Tak is much calmer and more aware of her talents, but not arrogant about it, which I think would appeal to Gaz far more. Atop that she still has that sociopathic streaks that Gaz's find amusing.

I can clearly see why they would get along. Plus, Gaz doesn't seem to like Zim much, just like Tak (well, she isn't on her brother's side either, but... you know! XD) and I think she would actually help Tak defeating Zim if that would make Dib finally shut up about it. :'D
But I think it's amazing that you actually have arguments of why TaGR works! If someone would ask me why I think ZaDR would work, I'd probably just answer "Because it simply does!" X'D

There actually appeared an idea for a "TaGR vs. ZaDR" Story plot in my head! *sigh* ._.
