I never answered your questions because jokes aren't meant to be explained, because it tends to ruin the joke. And quite frankly you were coming off as a little passive agressive in your first post.
The joke is simply a take-off on the famous "the many faces of..." drawings from around the world showing different expressions, excpet in this case her expressions stay stoic, and instead, her hair changes. plus, it's just fun for me as an artist to try and make a hairstyle for each mood. I wasn't belitteling Lady Gaga's creativity, I simply think it's amusing that she emotes with her hair more than she emotes with her face. I'm sorry to hear you don't find it funny.

I was just skimming over random galleries and recalled that I haven't looked at yours in forever. Then I visited you and remembered why...
Fun fact about your gallery, cool guy - your most visited deviation is your "Line Rider fan art" and your most faved deviation is "Happyendingspt 7-SO MUCH V 2.0"... In essence, your only popular stints for as long as you've been online were when you made fan art for a flash game and an animated music video featuring Avril Lavigne's music and Neopets fan characters.
I guess that explains why most of the fan art and birthday gift drawings you receive are Neopets related, right?
Years after you quit submitting to the Neopian Times all you're remembered for are your Neopets. Your drawing style hasn't improved and neither has your brand of humor. The only noticeable change to your artwork is your over-compensating use of gradients and excessive use of the burn tool. While all the other artists in this community strive to better themselves, your work never seems to improve and frankly has begun to look like it was generated by your own Character Factory templates⦠Your drawings, comics and characters are totally unrelatable and aren't the slightest bit funny despite your best efforts and better serve as examples of how NOT to draw if one wishes to improve themselves.
You're lucky to have watchers that still support you through your delusions of grandeur and sub-par performance as an artist , because there isn't anything in your gallery worth batting an eye at anymore and your fanbase of Neopets players have almost entirely grown up and forgotten you. Your local friends may support you, Tomi, but they're not the multitudes of fans you've boastfully claimed you deserve and they're much more forgiving and tolerant of your mediocre artwork than everybody else has been... This should be obvious considering your steady decline in page views and social interaction on this site.
You're rightfully unpopular and a dying star that never should have had a shining moment, Tomi. You're not getting anyone's attention because you're just not worth it. If it weren't for your Neopets fan characters I doubt we'd even trip across you when searching for good art, and with the stuff I've seen in this gallery, you're better off forgotten anywayβ¦

And you can rattle on about how unsuccessful or unpopular I may be but that doesn't change the fact that I still get paid quite alot for my comics and my books sell really well and am in fact one of the leading cartoonists in Israel. My art style may not be your personal prefference but that doesn't mean other people don't like it.
Now do me a favor, if you have a problem with ME, don't be a baby, talk to ME, personally, about your issues with ME, don't try to make it about my drawing style, don't go prattling off on other websites about how much I suck, don't whine and bitch in comments, don't send your "girlfriend" to bother me on MSN, don't go bothering my watchers on their profiles like you did, or do any other immature shit. You have issues with me? Do the SANE thing and TALK to me about them. Because seriously? FIVE YEARS. If your only problem with me was that "my drawing style has allegedly not changed" I don't think that Five freaking years later you'd still be writing paragraphs full of resentment for it. Don't flatter yourself; you're not important enough that I've wasted half a decade resenting you, and with all the pretentious crap you spout about your fame and success, it's no surprise that other people would have negative opinions of you or simply disregard you for that matter. You'd be lucky to have anyone obsess over you - there simply isn't anything to you worth that kind of attention.
You're no Jim Davis and you're no Scott Adams, Tomi - your suggested notoriety as a cartoonist is compared to... What? The other one or two committed cartoonists in Israel? You act like you're the winner of a race nobody else is running, if that's even a competition... Maybe your alleged fame would be worth mentioning if you'd actually done something to earn or deserve it.
You want to talk about "all those years" gone by? You still make the same ridiculous arguments in response as though I have some sort of vendetta against you, but the fact is that you never accept criticism, and the whole response you've given is little more than you fielding my remarks by victimizing yourself. You've prattled on about every meaningless detail of your life's happenings on your public profile, so why should I be sending you private messages about them?
Your idea of apologizing is to ignore issues altogether. I understand how much criticism baffles you, but you're on the cross about things that happened a long time ago and that'd make you the one being a baby about all of this.
I get the impression that nobody scrutinizes you for your work simply because nobody's paying attention - your remaining "fans" consist of the same few people repeatedly commenting on every new piece you submit, and their remarks are them basically spoon-feeding you the EXACT response you wanted them to give. Don't you find it odd that you can't have a single, striking conversation about anything you draw? It's like there's virtually no depth to any of your work! Any little kid with hand-eye coordination can draw better in flash than you can in all this time, and your writing is like a a car accident repeating itself with every illustration! You're the only artist I know that can actually make anti-aliasing look WORSE when they're using it... Everyone patronizes you to keep your frail ego from shattering and ultimately to avoid having your ranting journal entries show up in their deviantart notifications.
What "constitutes improvements" for your work is your work in general, Tomi; your artistic style looks practically the same as when you were shoveling it out to Neopets and clearly you're not challenging yourself to improve that. I think that was the apparent subject of my message to you, and maybe that's what you should focus your responses on.
The internet stopped caring about you when you stopped drawing Kevin and Yellow.
Do all of us a favor and quit submitting your disease of a comic series to this site. As for moving on? Try changing careers, Tomi; you're way overdue.

If you have a problem with my art - don't view it! Simple as that! Problem solved. And yeah I know you haven't been avidly watching my gallery, but even bothering to post that big wall of text is pretty much a waste of time if your only issue with me is that you don't think my art progressed.
And sure - spin what I say, make it sound like I said how well I sell because I just like tooting my own horn. It couldn't possibly be in response to what you said about nobody liking my comic.
As for the comment about lack of cartoonists in Israel - do some reading. You'd be surprised.
And as for not taking critisism or allegedly not improving - I think my college proffessors would disagree with you on that one. You're also welcome to seek out any other place on DA where I was given critisism and dismissed it for no reason. And I'm talking about constructive critisism, not "Yellow is a slut".
You don't like what I do? Don't view my gallery. Don't bother typing what I do wrong because according to you, I won't listen anyway, and just let me keep drawing to my stupid little fans who only care about me because whatever reasons you made up. It's no skin off your nose.
And as for you not having obsessed over the past five years? I think the number of times you wrote stuff about me in various locaitons, pestered profiles of other people I know so much that it got your account removed, sent other people to pester me for you (such as Cyclone or whatever his name was and your "Girlfriend", to name a few) and even went to the trouble of pretending to be friendly just so you can be an ass later, such as that time you tried adding me on facebook without even admitting who you are, all that proves otherwise. You act more like a stalker than you do like someone who couldn't care less.
So again, if you don't like what I do, what I draw, or who I am - we're on different CONTINENTS. Nobody's forcing you to have ANYTHING to do with me.
