It is. I marveled at the way he managed to modernize the gods and monsters.....let's be honest.....I couldn't see Ares any other way as the rugged motorbiker (with a pair of shotguns instead of swords XD)

Oh god I know, its very fitting for him. I also like it how Zues/Jupiter, loves pinstriped suits and chines food. Still the Boss and yet a little fun in him some how. I also love it how the book is a easy read and it just flows. And very addicting xD

I am actually enjoying the new series more than the original (was a little...too kiddy in some bits....the Heroes of Olympus is actually much better written, since its not from a first-person perspective)

Agreed,Even though in the other books they were 13 and such and in theses books there 16 and a little older. But you can some what relate to them in away. Also who would have thought Aphrodite was not as shallow as some people would think. And Hera is such a sad yet scary character

Aphrodite is something of an anomaly in Greek Mythology, because....she's not an Olympian.......she's technically a Titan. She was the spawn of the "naughty bits" of Uranus thrown in the ocean by Cronus. Lots of people don't think of that. And yeah she may be a little shallow, but she's also pretty damn smart.

Hera's always been a vindictive pain in the collective butt. But in some ways...I do like her.

Agreed, a pain but still sad. I think any wife would do the same thing in her shoes...well some do actually, just not all that exstream. Just some people don't look at other points of views in some god. Like with rachny and Minerva/Athena. She was good really good at what she does, but the goddess got mad at the bosting and wouldent admit. Power or not The spider did have talent.
