Tep, computers can be really sensitive at times, but everyone else in my family is so rough on this one. It suffers from heavy lags and has crashed on multiple occasions.

...well it's obvious you have lots of virus. Dont bother getting a virus remover. Your better off reinstalling windows. Because when you use a V-Remover it kills the virus but dosent restore the damage, so even when the virus is gone; all the errors will still be there. So wipe the memory an start over.

Yes, I need to know how to move songs onto it (or rather, onto the iTunes). I have some songs on the Media Player, but I don't know how I could move them onto the iPod.

You need to install itunes 1st.
From there you can basically drag and drop songs from your music folder/directory into itunes.
Plug your ipod into a suitable usb port and drag the songs from the itunes directory into your ipod (within itunes).
That is probably the simplest method.

Dont have itunes. Make sure you don't have iTunes set to automatically sync the ipod with your computer's library.

or you could set the ipod so it can be used as a mas storage device, then copy the music to the ipod as you would to a hard drive. When your friend gets it back he can just copy the files back to his computer then add them into itunes then sync to his ipod.

iTunes is installed, and I got the auto sync turned off or it would get loaded down with all the gunk my brothers listen too. But TJ claims that he's set the computer up so I can't just drag and drop it in like I'd do for a flash drive. (doesn't save the song as an icon, just saves it straight to the Media Player)
So thinking outside of the box would ask: Is there a way to download the song "straight to" the iPod?
