I think with a series as complex as FY, it's the most difficult to find true "purists" (little joke, lol) who enjoy every character, every aspect of the show, instead of the people who only like this or that character and constantly bash on the ones they don't like. Or worse, the people who only watch the show for a single character's sake, and drool over or try to "claim" their favorite. XP I myself love the show in its entirety, and I can't stand haters who decide a character is crap and fail to see their good qualities, or if they have none, then at least note their integral role in the series.
All that aside, is Tasuki your favorite? 'Cause Chichiri is my all-time fave. XD He rocks the kasa, dude.

Haha, I fully agree with that. My friends did that, meaning they would only watch it for their favorite character, stop watching when the character died, and would get in fights about owning characters. Everything is just amazing in FY, from the amazing characters, to the plot, and everything is really unique. My all time fav.
And yeah, Tasuki is my favorite. I seem to have a thing for sarcastic, angry red-heads ^___^ Chichiri is a close second, he's got super spiffy blow-shit-up powers X3

Sarcastic, angry redheads is a wonderful anime/manga concept from the very beginning. XD And HELL YES, I love it when Chichiri "blows shit up." XDD Have you seen the second OVA when he uses that attack against Hikou that explodes like nobody's business? I'm such a nerd; I wrote the spell down so I could use it in fics later, given the chance.
I wrote down Tasuki's OVA attack too, if you care at all. Speaking of which, is it typical maleness of me to like the explodie powers the most? n_n;

Hahah, seen it? I freaking own the entire box series and watched it more times then I can count. Chichiri kicked major ass in that episode, even if it was all angsty. And your not a nerd, I do the same thing with Tasuki's attacks for the most part 
And yeah, I guess it is typical guyness to enjoy all the exploading. I think I read somewhere that it's embedded in your DNA or something. ^^ However, it IS rare to find a guy who will watch something like FY. Most of the guys I know wont watch it because they call it a 'girl' anime.

"Girl Anime" my otaku ass. Anyone who says that just needs to actually watch the freakin' show. And guys who think Yuu Watase only creates "girly" stuff need to read Ceres Celestial Legend. There is nothing cutesy and fluffy about that series. Not once the bad shite starts happening, anyway. n_n;
I ENVY YOU YOUR BOX SERIES, WOMAN. I have to download crappy quality stuff off of veoh.com, and the second OVA isn't even up there in full, and the chunks of it that are there have bad (even sometimes belated) sound and weird pixelating stuff all over them. It makes me a very sad nerd.

I agree with that, Ceres is pretty hardcore, but equally as amazing. Even if there is fluff, its usually overshadowed by angst somehow. You've seen/read that too? Who's your fav character in that?
X3 Haha, i pity you and your crappy quality downloads. I love my FY box set so much. ^_^ Though I share your pain, since whenever I want to watch something else, like Vampire Knight of Bleach, I have to go find it somwhere, and its not anywhere near as good as owning it.

XD Actually, I started to read Ceres but never got to finish it because they stopped selling the books in order at the bookstores near where I used to live (I'm at college now, and they don't sell manga at the campus bookstore. Whores. XP).
For my favorite character, it's really been too long since my last reading, so I couldn't say with certainty. XD I do recall there being lots of blood, though. And plenty of disturbing concepts. I believe Ceres might be online somewhere, and I'd like to finish it once I get through the zillion other manga that currently have my attention. n_n;
Yes...pity meh. T.T But maybe not for too much longer, since Christmas is coming soon, and I've dropped a few FY related hints at my family. XDD It's the only way I'm likely to get anime while I'm still in college, unfortunately. I'm just about the poorest of the poor, and an art major to boot. Supplies for my classes suck up all my would-be manga and anime funds. *whines like a small dog doing the pee-pee dance to go out*

The bastards! College bookstores never have anything good! X3 Then again, my school has more of a gift shop then a school store. Luckily, I just moved out of the dorms into an apartment with my roommates, and there are two book stores within 10 minutes of me now. However, then we have to put into account that I am also a poor art student. I'm pretty sure my supplies are more expensive then yours though... -pokes a huge list of photo supplies that are going to cost a spleen and a lung-
And yeaaah, Ceres is filled with blood, death and angst. Gotta love it X3 A lot of the manga sites ive been on haven't had the entire series up though, which sucks. However, it doesn't bother me, because my friend is letting me borrow the entire series, so i have all 14 books with me to re-read.
I hope you get your FY for christmas! I don't drop hints like that anymore, because once I told my brother to get me the Ceres DVD's for christmas, and he had no idea what to look for, so instead of researching what it was, he went into the store and picked up a random DVD. Yeaaah...ended up being some hardcore hentai stuff.

PS: So yeah, watched some FY last night, fell asleep on the couch after the first episode, and woke up with my 65lb dog sleeping ontop of me. Wasn't all that pleasent...just thought I would let you know that random little tidbit.
