Well I think that's because it had the 'most memorable characters' and the actual game play and stuff wasn't that interesting... Like the old Star Wars trilogy really...

And XIII is my second favourite >.<

The character were dull and boring, especially Cloud and Sephiroth. I bet you can barely remember characters like Ruthus (One of the main antagonists, Shinra's son, in a few boss battles), Jessie (Member of Avalanche) , Professor Gast (Leader
of Jenova Project) or Dio (Owner of Golden Saucer). And there are so many characters like this, major or minor that are just completely forgotten about for the main bunch. Reno is my favourite character.

Yeah, but I liked the character from other FF games more, it disgusts me how people compare for example Lightning to Cloud when she is clearly more like Squall.

I know, though I could understand it visually, because take away the hair and cloud and lightning to actually look alike (lol Cloud looks like a ghurl) but it doesn't excuse the fact that while lightning is just bad ass cloud is like a whimpering puppy. I like Squall, though I've only seen him in Dissidia, and he was kinda depressive, and I think there are enough depressed characters in the FF series already to be honest...

Squall isn't too depressive actually, the main factor that makes him like Lightning is that he doesn't appreciate friendship.
