Yeah, it was pretty cool. I went to a Thai restaurant that had a bar downstairs from it and the room that I was in was this little square room with short tables and pillows to sit on. A girl came in and it was her 21st too, so we went down to the bar and spun the birthday wheel for free shots. When we got there, the bar was almost silent. I couldn't figure out why until I looked at the tv and McCain was making a speech. I turned to the guy standing next to me and said "I feel historic! It's my 21st birthday and we just elected our first black president!" he gave me a really nasty look. I think he was a McCain supporter. XD

I was getting pretty buzzed by the time we were driving back (I wasn't behind the wheel) and I was okay, then I looked out the window and was like "JOEL! We're sinking into the road!" few seconds later, I was "Oh...it's okay...we're going back up."

Then I got home and had two more glasses of Captain Morgan Tattoo and pepsi. I saw Obama on the tv and got all excited. Then I saw the percentages of Prop 8 and said "Prop 8 is bad. It's mean to take away stuff from people..that's mean..." or something of that nature.

I do remember hearing Prop 8 I'm still not sure what that means but from what I hear from others it can't be good.

Also I'm going to Vegas next weekend and my fiance says we can move out by the time I graduate. I'm excited but nervous at the same time, but I know we can make it.

Heh, what's even funnier is I'd never had alcohol before. Earlier that day, a couple hours before we'd left for Davis, I had gotten a little drunk and called my friend Marcus, who was doing a report on the jedi religion (some people actually take it that way) and I tried to convince everyone in the house that Marcus was a jedi...


Prop 8 was the proposition that eliminated the rights of homosexuals to marry. In May of 08, gay marriage was made legal, in November of 08, Prop 8 made it illegal again. There is so much wrong with that, considering the campaign that started it was driven entirely by the religious rite.

Oh so thats what its about. Well don't I feel smart. Well all I can say is I am for gay marriage cause you can't help who you are in love with and who you wish to spend the rest of your life with.

I'm not. I'm just saying that the religious rite has more power than it should over the law. Strictly speaking, it shouldn't have ANY, no matter what religion. Even it was Hinduism that had power instead of Christianity, it shouldn't have any power over the law. The separation of church and state is what should have more control.
