I usually do those close ups on my kitchen table . I just set up some poster board for a seamless background and use a desklamp for the light ( I do use bulbs that are a little more juice for a lamp that size than I am supposed to but I'm very careful about not over heating the lamp..) And that's about it...Pretty cheap and easy (and maybe a little ghetto) but I do what works
