How do you find so many amazing artists on DA? I was doing a some-what large scale scope for commissions tonight and I found art of your beautiful babes that you had ordered in all sorts of random places and adgdfgd-- I was amazed (idk why haha)

Hi there bee!!

First off, thank you for seeing them!! You probably see them a lot because I love collecting art and follow a tonne of artists on every kind of media site imaginable...(so much so I had to once cut down how many I followed on each site once in a while). I definitely misc browse through any recommended blogs, artists who are connected to other artists, or reblogged artists who appears on my dashboard, and so on because they tend to have styles that appeal to me! I am very open to styles and adore all sorts of pretty things.

From time to time, I would want to commission them at one point in my old age, so I would bookmark them for future references.

I also browse a lot of characters on TH and see some incredible and gorgeous pieces which prompts me to go to the source site and seek out their commission prices. If they do not own any DA, TH,or Tumblr, I make sure to note that too.

My friends have different tastes and so does my significant other, so they would recommend some artists that I would have never found on my own sometimes as well! I like to gift my s/o so I'd buy comms of their charas in styles that aren't particularly for my charas, but would suit their's very well too and that's just another small factor of why our charas are in a lot of places.

TL;DR: I recommend seeing pieces that appeal to you of other characters or original work and making a list of artists you would potentially commission in the future...! If you don't have funds at the moment, that doesn't mean you may not have funds another day for the next time they may open. And browse, browse, browse to broaden your horizons of art styles you may love. Also remember to ask your friends which are their favourite artists! You never know when you might find one you both love together and that just means more to bond over! A win-win! :>
