Firstly, if you're going to mod minecraft, save your bin folder if you've already installed other mods, because if you balls up the installation, you'll lose the mods you've already got

Alright, to get to the minecraft files, you'll need 7zip, and to access the minecraft files search for %appdata%

Ok. Just download the mod files then (make sure you download anything extra you need for the mod, like modloader etc) and follow the instructions on the mod page
