I always got solos in band 'cause no one else wanted to do them 'cause all our trumpets are babies
and in 8th grade I was the only 1st trumpet (and then the only trumpet) so there was a lot of me playing by myself then
I really like playing with other people, but I have no one to play with :'D

lol, in the higher up bands, we get to pick what we want to play as long as we can play it no matter what chair number we are
and the 1st trumpets would usually try to push their parts off on the others
'cause it's hard and no one wants to practice that's mess ._.
I always sneaked my way into getting 1st cornet 'cause I was usually first chair anyway and it always sounds super cool (and it's always easier than 1st trumpet)
but I mean, I just like playing in band
and 3rd trumpet is nice

yea, we never play songs we don't like, but sometimes we'll play really easy songs to give the brass a break during concerts :'D
but it seems last years marching show was a bit bleh

our director never lets us have a video game show

in normal band, we always played exposed music with a lot of trumpet 'cause the directors wanted us to play better
it didn't really work ._.
but yea, all video game shows are awesome, but they always play the same songs :I
like, at every competition I've been to, at least one band had a video game show and they played the pokemon battle theme, Arith's theme, and a legend of Zalda song or a mario song
and one band played an angry birds song
it was nuts 'cause they had a giant sling shot that they shot a giant angry bird out of
still, their marching sucked ._.

and we have this one song called hammerhead, and its symbol looks like a pokeball

because we were on the football field e3e

It's always crazy hot here 'cause even if it's not that hot, it's really humid and that makes it feel even hotter
like, it's been like a constant 95 degrees here, but it's like %90 humidity so it feels like 106 :'D
and then in winter it's like "lol, 14 degrees, wind chill makes it feel like 2, no snow, but I'll warm up to 40 so it can rain 
I freakin' hate Georgia ._.

we have over 200 people in our marching band, so we could replicate the freakin' titanic if we wanted to XD

on the first week of band camp, it was hot and humid and everyone felt like death rip
but pennsylvania weather was kind to us for most of the time and it was cool xD
in winter it's the same but with snow

our marching band only has like 60 or so people and 1 sousaphone so it's pretty sad, but that means we can play louder xD

it seems as though the piccolos also feel as though everyone must hear their majesty and that year (of the performance you saw) our bad director decided to have an army of piccolos and no flutes and it was horror
two of my flute friends would intentionally play high, high c out of tune at like ffffffffffffffffffff right in my earball all the time and it was torture -_-
but I did invent the trumpolo which is literally just a trumpet mouth piece replacing a piccolo headjoint
it was magnificent
that reminds me, I saw a video of a guy playing a carrot with a clarinet mouth piece
so, there you go
you should switch to carrot
