I grew up watching it as a kid and still really enjoy the series of it that I have watched, the fandom in general is really nice from what I have experienced, they just get rather a bad name for themselves I guess >///<

My dad is a big trekkie and he introduced me to it (he actually met Walter Koenig/Chekov at a convention) so I've only watched TOS and Voyager I also watched a bit of DS9 but I didn't like it that much, in overall though the all the series are great ;u;

Mine is the same, well - my Stepdad, but he is a huge fan so I used to watch it with him as a kid.
What did you make of Voyager? I really loved the series but a lot of people I talk to about it don't seem to rate it QmQ
I never got into DS9 either to be honest, I really tried but I didn't enjoy it nearly as much as others like Next Gen :<<

Yeah, many people don't like voyager, but I don't really care I believe it's a great series and it deserved more attention (Tom is really cute XD).
DS9 has a really good soundtrack, that's the only reason i watch it. TNG is also good but I prefer the movies, the crew is really fun.
Btw what do you think about the reboot movies?

I kid you not I have a cat plushie in a little uniform and he is called Tom Purr-is I am that awful >///<

I don't mind the reboots nearly as much as I thought I would to be honest, I thought they would ruin them but I really think they captured the characters well, even if they did really go OTT with the effects!

The reboot was okay. Though I didn't like Spock that much, he did many illogical stuff. McCoy was good but Scotty was absolutely fantastic ^^

I agree with you there, though I'm one of those people that enjoyed his character in heroes so seeing him play a seemingly logical character seemed odd in the first place!
Scotty was, they cast the perfect man for the job thats for sure! *u*

Heroes is a TV series, its tarted off really good but then got a little repetitive sadly, though I still loved the first series and a little of the next two >u< <3
